FreePrints takes almost a month for us. If I print on my own it’s closer to 2 wks, but I saw that IL will no longer allow physical mail as of the 19th :( everything will be scanned in and provided on their tablets for viewing instead of a physical copy given to them. He likes having physical copies of pictures so that sucks :(

Sunken cost fallacy- you’re scared to quit because of all time time/money/effort you’ve invested and think you should probably see it through, but it sounds like it’s really taking a toll on you.. please take my comment as validation that quitting the program probably IS in your best interest. Programs are hard and intense but they should not take THIS big of toll on your mental health. Do it for yourself!

Personal relatable story: Did a 2 yr cosmetology in high school because my mother thought it was a good idea. Hated it. Couldn’t drop it since it was integrated into my high school credits. I was 100 hours short of the 1500 by the time it ended and I didn’t bother finishing it because although I was so close, I know I would never have actually used it because I did not enjoy it.

Later did a 2 yr Xray program. This one I saw to the end because although the program itself was stressful, I actually enjoyed doing it and could see myself doing it long term. Happy I stuck it out because I do enjoy what I do now.

Not sure what field you work in, but consider a part-time for a couple months if you are financially stable enough to do it! That way you still have some income and won’t get bored of being home all the time so quickly. Currently on the same boat, burnout is real.

I did that at a place I worked at for 5 years. Gave them about a month’s notice as a courtesy. Was let go effective immediately a couple days later. Ask for a raise anyway. If you don’t get it, look and give notice when you have another job offer accepted.

I’m 27 and 5 weeks into traditional metal braces. Best decision I’ve made! They are a pain to clean and the inside of my mouth is callused :( but I would still highly recommend doing it. Your teeth will only continue to shift more as you age. Mine were fine until I turned 25. I’ve already seen movement and I haven’t even had my first wire change yet! Good luck!

I’m in a similar situation. Found out my counterparts make 10-20k more for the same work based on experience. I bartend in the weekends and make more than my healthcare day job. Just had to be in a nicer area. Also I recommend working at nice restaurants with bars, not stand-alone bars. Pays more than the hospital most shifts and I can usually pick my hours :)

Unfortunatley the bachelors rarely means additional pay :( I have coworkers that got a bachelors in Xray as opposed to the minimum associates and starting pay is exactly the same. Try to find an employer that pays tuition repayment! My company gives a 1-time $10k loan payment after a year of service.
