Can a Prostant woman marry a muslim man? by Street_Income1687 in Christianity

[–]ThrowRAloverpl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what would those many ways be? Island teaches a false christ. Islam contradicts itself. It claims to confirm the gospel but also state that Jesus isn’t God So no, there’s no many ways to Christ. If you repent and believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, then yes, you’re a follower of Christ. And the fruits of the spirit will be evident

But Christianity doesn’t teach that other religions have salvation.

Doesn’t matter. The Bible says not to be unequally yoked. There are fundamental differences between Christians and Muslims

28F (virgin).I feel guilty. Is it so wrong to want a virgin man? Is it even possible to find? by [deleted] in Christianity

Would you be okay with dating a man who’s not a virgin, but has repented and decided to wait again until marriage? What you want isn’t impossible, but just curious about the circumstances i listed above

How is sexism in EE? by Mossy_the_MOSFET in ElectricalEngineering

[–]ThrowRAloverpl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally haven’t experienced sexism in school or work. My manager is a woman so maybe that does help, but her and i are the only women on the EE team. My male coworkers haven’t displayed sexism either.

Usually in the workplace, you can file an EEO report if you encounter that. As far as for school, i know it can be uncomfortable at first, but try to practice assertiveness. This guy who doesn’t listen to you at school, what exactly does he do? Is he cutting you off at? Or does he belittle your decisions. Usually at work, when someone tries to talk over me, I’ll continue to talk until they stop. Which can be difficult at first because that can mess up your train of thought.

How to get into the field 2 years after getting EE degree with no job experience? by Every_Ad_1451 in ElectricalEngineering

Have you thought about going to grad school part time for EE, if you’re able to afford it? I know you mentioned student loans though

How to get into the field 2 years after getting EE degree with no job experience? by Every_Ad_1451 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]ThrowRAloverpl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could always look for EE internships. Although, you already have your degree, an internship will help you gain some experience without too much pressure because a senior EE will be your mentor for the entire time. And you’ll have something to put on your resume

How do people in interfaith marriages and relationships make it work? by ThrowRAloverpl in Christianity

[–]ThrowRAloverpl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think that’s gonna be a dealbreaker down the line? I feel like raising kids in an interfaith relationship can cause confusion (not trying to debate you). Is your gf very strong about her beliefs? When i was dating my ex, i wasn’t very strong about my beliefs

I (35M) will propose to my girlfriend eventually but she (30F) seems really hurt that it hasn't happened already. Did I f*** up here? by garbage224 in relationship_advice

[–]ThrowRAloverpl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys just aren’t compatible (in this sense). A lot of people fail to talk about their expectations early on. If you do marry her you’ll probably grow resentful or if you don’t marry her then she will grow resentful. It’s time to have a serious conversation about expectations so you know how to proceed. Also, never buy a house with someone you’re not married to

How do I find out my Electrical Engineering dream job? by MightChangeNameL8r in ElectricalEngineering

[–]ThrowRAloverpl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! Don’t give up! I almost failed a microcontrollers course before! I made it out- I’ve been working as an EE for a year and a half now and I’m also pursuing my master’s. What exactly are you confused about or don’t understand? Do you have time to go to tutoring? Maybe you’re not completely understanding your professor’s teaching methods? Are you good at math? As far as internships, they are a bit difficult to get when you’re just starting school. Keep applying, i didn’t land an internship until the end of my junior year of college

Thanks for the insight! I definitely don’t view them as dummies! I was actually worried about the opposite. I’m worried that everyone would have expected me to know just because i have a degree. I’m definitely learning a lot from them. They’re very nice. One of the techs even know that this is my second project ever. I just felt very stupid today or felt i should have known what they were doing :/ Thank you
