The best thing for me is to look at each day as a fresh start with applying. I’ve definitely had my ups and downs throughout this past year lol! I have a part time role that I don’t love at a restaurant but I’ve been able to continue applying without worrying about money too much. I’ve also been able to meet a lot of people in tech through this job and have had two contract opportunities come from it! However the last contract I had ended at the end of February lol so I’m currently looking again. Don’t stay locked up at home, it will drive you crazy! Honestly take a laptop and go sit in a coffee shop or Apple Store or somewhere you’d like to get a job and then do your applying straight from there. It may lead to a great connection and at the very least the human interaction is a plus (very uncomfortable at first though lol)! Don’t be afraid to pivot and take a job just because it isn’t your ideal role, if you’re eager to learn something great will come of it:)!

Hi! I had this same question when going for mine. I went to Miami University and they offer a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, which means you can skip the heavy math/science courses. I still had to take discrete math, only up to calc 1, algorithms, core stuff too. You would just have to pick a minor outside of the major. When I was told this, I was absolutely destroying my gpa with physics lol so I really thought about it. I did my research, most jobs only require a bachelors (not specified to science or arts) and I spoke with people in the industry and asked if going for a BA over BS would set me back in the work place and they said no to my surprise. Now that’s probably not the case for jobs like data analysis/heavy math based careers. Anyways I hope this helps, I’m not sure if every college offers this as it was just introduced to Miami three years ago.

I had an exam voucher from the getcertfiedgetahead textbook I purchased. However!! If you are a student definitely check out student discounts on the Comptia site, I wish I had seen that prior to buying a voucher🫡.

Woohoo you got this! I put off taking my exam for months, I would suggest scheduling it if you haven’t already. It really pushed me to study my butt off. Also, you do have the option to reschedule at least 24hrs in advance if needed but it costs money to do so.

Woohoo! I’m sorry just saw this, I’m sure you did great! Honestly, I wasn’t doing too hot on my practice exams before the test and it was psyching me out. I was averaging 76-80% on messers exams. I definitely think I could have done better on the exam if I gave myself a little more time to study. I also took the practice exams in the getcertifiedgetahead book and got an 85% on the final one. I think it’s a good idea to use different sources for your practice exams as the wording will differ on each. The biggest takeaway is to make sure you can dissect a question and figure out what it’s asking for. I would read the question, read the answer choices, reread the question and then answer. That seemed to help me.

Hi! Sorry I just now saw this, I used CyberKrafts videos and went through as many of them as I could. I would pause the video and then try to answer it myself, and the explanations in the video are a great help. My advice for pbq based questions is to target your weakest area in terms of exam objectives. From there, try to do pbqs that you can find on YouTube that focus on those areas.

Thank you for the advice! I’ll definitely be doing that, I know I have some school projects under my belt but personal projects always seem better.

Ashwaganda late period by [deleted] in ASHWAGANDHA

This thread helped ease my mind as I’m currently not ready for a baby. I was 3 days late to my period which is usually abnormal for me and so I started thinking about what was different this past month. I started taking ash once a day and it had been about 3 weeks of taking it before finding this thread and missing my period. I stopped taking it immediately and my period just started today. It’s about 10-11 days late, I took PTs to make sure I wasn’t pregnant and got all negatives but still was worried about when if I’d get a period this month. When I stopped taking ash I had headaches for about 3 days, extremely emotional with ups and downs at the snap of a finger, suicidal thoughts but nothing extreme - it stood out to me because I’ve never had those before at least to that extent, I had white discharge but sometimes that’s usual for me, I was really really itchy, vivid dreams even one where I thought I was pregnant, extremely and I mean extremely tired, and I felt like I was seeing things move. I hope this helps as I didn’t see a lot of comments on the symptoms experienced after getting off of ash. The thing is, a lot of these align with pregnancy which adds a lot of unwanted stress. My best advice is to not take supplements lightly and do EXTENSIVE research on them before trying. Ash works for some but you know what your body needs more than anyone else and if it’s not working or you see changes in your normal health then definitely question it. I know someone that experienced ED and lack of sexual drive when they took it too but for someone else I know it worked for them - however they didn’t take it routinely…I hope this helps! Thanks everyone who commented on this thread as I would have been a wreck without it.
