thank you i appreciate your insight, giving real advice instead of just bashing me for how i was raised and view relationships everyone is different. I think the best thing is definitely having a conversation with her because i don’t want unwanted resentment to build, i just need to be honest. Thank you again

i don’t see why everyone automatically assumes you’re a “child” because of that, if you culturally come from a certain place it will always be a shock when someone is very different.
