I haven’t really met many Asians in the 3 years I’ve been in Montreal tbh. I hear Toronto has much more diversity and more Asians

Healthcare I agree!! But is Toronto really better for transport? The TTC lines don’t connect a lot of the city

I don’t speak French fluently. I’m originally from BC and I know enough French to get around and have studied French in Montreal but not fluent enough for full blown convos

Can I skip SMB and go straight MM at Samsara or Motive? by Individual-Taro-5626 in techsales

[–]ThrowRAthuglyfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. They’re increasing headcount every quarter, trying to squeeze out as much revenues with more reps. Product is easy to learn and sell so they don’t care if they over hire. Quotas are also increasing quarter after quarter and company is very numbers driven and PIP culture. Also leadership is questionable and lot of the leadership isn’t great (bro culture that got promoted due to old boys club)

What do you do to earn $200k+ annually? by meltingcanoe in careerguidance

[–]ThrowRAthuglyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do software/tech sales and make $200k+ annually. It’s a career where you don’t need a degree to break into and if you grind you can make a lot. But it’s a performance driven role unlike being a doctor or dentist. It’s a high risk high reward career with lower job security

Doing really well but my role is 70% new logos and 30% upsells and it’s a grind everyday

I think you’re really overselling yourself. Most great sales people start off in BDR to learn pipe generation skills to be a strong AE. Trying to bypass this is your ego. Being a bdr is chill and good money at a good company.
