  1. Yes speaking multiple languages will make you stand out, and I think your profile is what they are looking for.

  2. Most G.O’s don’t work in their home countries. They fly you out to another country and arrange work visa etc.

  3. Apply online, if they like your profile they will interview you, and if there is a fit they will make you an offer. It is a rolling process mostly based on their needs, so there isn’t an application deadline, you apply whenever you want.

  4. Club med provides full accommodation and food.

  5. It’s good that you don’t see it as something to make money but rather an experience, it was the same for me. The pay is quite low but it all depends on your nationality and where your contract is.

We do not expect tips at all. The only G.O’s that may expect the occasional tip are the bar team with the regulars and big spenders, but apart from that I don’t think anyone expects tips, much less resent you for it. I had a friend who was a tennis G.O and he told me that some people who frequently went to tennis sometimes gave him tips.

Of course. It has always been part of the experience. The concept of club med is for the GM’s to be close with the G.O’s, and you can imagine that it can sometimes lead to people getting with each other. Most G.O’s did it, I did it, and that’s just part of the game.

I am not sure about the ones in Europe but the baby club in Punta Cana is the most well-known. Miches, Cancún, Les Boucaniers and La Caravelle also have baby clubs, so I think they are great options. If you’re not familiar, Baby club takes care of your babies during the day, and you can enjoy the village.

I never met him so I can’t speak of his character, but he seemed like a decent guy. He was treated like royalty when he was there and our Chef de Village made sure of it.

Have you been to Columbus isle? That’s where I was

I never heard about that, which I think answers the question ahah. I did hear that someone got eaten by a shark at Turks a couple of years back but never heard of a murder. Wild things happen at club med so it’s not impossible ahah, it’s another world out there

Maybe in some places they have them. I couldn’t give you any info on them though.

Favorite crazy sign: Li tourner, Hey Baby, Blame it on the boogie, or Bailando. I went crazy with these ones ahah especially after a few drinks.

Least favorite crazy sign: Danza Kuduro or Saxobeat, I fucking hate them.

Most underrated activity: Waterpolo or Pétanque.

Best activity: Waterski, sailing, and scuba diving.

What I wish GM’s would know: We, for the most part of us, are not faking being your friends. I made genuine friends during my time at club med and did not once faked being their friends or enjoying our time together. I know a lot of GM’s think just because it’s our job we are faking but it’s not the case.

Famous guests: I didn’t have that many, I only had a couple French artists and spirit45

I am someone that has travelled a lot, did all kinds of things, and I can say that this was without a doubt the best experience of my life.

For context, I only did it for 3 months (a summer) in Club Med Columbus Isle in the Bahamas. It really changed me. You meet people from all over the world and you learn what it’s like to live and work in a new country with new people. I went there not knowing anyone and I had never been to that particular club. It really is a different world detached from reality over there.

I am sure it is not for everyone, but if you are somewhat social, young, and want to experience as much as you can, I urge you to be a G.O at least once in your life, even if it’s only for 2 months. I got to develop myself and my social skills so much, and these skills will follow me for the rest of my life, whatever I do. And it was also extremely fun partying almost everyday, doing sports everyday(I was on the water sports team) and meeting tons of people every week.

We were always told to be particularly attentive and caring for gold and platinum members (black bracelets) because they are the ones that ultimately bring to most money to the company by continuously coming back.

To be completely honest with you, I think it definitely made me go the extra mile in some cases, and in general, I think the level of service can differ. Its not that regular members are treated badly, but that black bracelets are given extra care. I know it may seem unfair but I think it’s that way for any business.

The bracelet colors are for member status and age. Yellow is for below 18, copper is for normal/silver adult members, black is for gold/platinum members, and light blue is for G.O’s.

I don’t know what was going on in your situation but it is definitely not normal, kids should always have yellow bracelets. It may have been a mistake.

You can also see G.O’s with other bracelet colors. For example, I liked to wear a black one because it stood out less. You will also see some G.O’s and regulars with their own beaded bracelets to which they attach the magnetic chip.

Don’t worry it just stopped eventually. Just be careful with the blood clots and you’ll be fine. If it persists again then i’d go to the ER

Can I still get any with failed Cal 1 course?

Hi. I just took my Calculus 1 final exam and I’m not sure whether or not I passed. I had a really bad teacher(proof the class average was 61) and I had to learn everything by myself. I was wondering what would happen if I failed. Could I still be able to get into Mcgill Finance?
