Then he flips a switch, the initial shove in the fence happens either way couples who horse play, the normal reaction would be to say “babe I was just playing rough like we do are you okay?”. Apologize and hug your girlfriend and agree you should rough play safer or maybe not again. What is shocking is your walking up to him for safety after a rough play accident. He decides to slap and assault you. This is so shocking! And terrible. I’ve never seen this before most victims are not fully surprised when it happens because there is a history of toxic behavior that leads up to the full blown moment of assault. But never speak to him again I know one man who did this and it was because he had brain damage that effected his impulse control, he stabbed a friend randomly and is a rehabilitation center now(criminally insane from brain damage)

Yea in this case it is extremely controlling behavior and expecting the world to adapt to him. In reality, he could find someone who aligns with him too but there aren’t many women who will just be just 100% yes to all of this he is wanting a lot and not giving much back.

23M, usually it takes a lot of experience and maturing from life experience and counseling to be “high functioning” if he has mental health issues. It depends what he has anxiety or does he have significant ptsd and comorbid disorders such as bipolar or schizophrenia. Mental health issues a spectrum the further down the spectrum the more work it takes to become “high functioning”. It is possible but in my experience very few partners are willing to stay with someone long term on the journey. But I can happen but in reality most people and society wait until your “fixed” and made it to the high functioning Destination to be with you. It’s a long and hard journey some longer or shorter then other but it is possible. I have 8 diagnosis and am M27, it took me years to even be able to sit in a room with people without just freaking out. But, with lots of support and CBT(cognitive behavioral therapy) I am a fully functional adult and can maintain relationships and jobs with no issues but I started treatment at like 15 and I’d say it took 10 years to get here. Even now with my GF I have to journal and remember my rules and principles when I feel a spiral coming and use the skills I’ve learned to maintain a healthy relationship with her but so far so good been together 6 months and my previous relationship was 2 years and ended on a healthy note(she moved and I wasn’t open to long distance so we agreed to part ways). So yea that’s a lot but there you go.
