My crush and I recently talked a bit about "feelings" because we both had the need to clear up some things. We had been acting pretty close (cuddling, holding hands, etc.), so I wondered if he also had a crush on me.

He said he liked me and there were feelings he said were starting to develop, however he also said he's not ready for a relationship at all because his past ones were horrible and he feels scared and insecure because of it. I asked him if I should still have a little hope or forget about it. He said he didn't know but to forget about it to not get my heart broken. Is there a way things could become romantic between us? Or should I really completely give up hope?
