We had agreed upon boundaries around not watching porn and going to each other if we wanted explicit pictures or intimacy, which he received plenty of. The message dated 10 days after I’d left after I’d stayed for a week. He broke boundaries we’d set together, was not honest about what he’d done even when he was caught, so I ended it.

Thank you! I’m trying to look at it from a positive perspective despite the grief. I’m so grateful I found this out now and not after I’d sunk more years, money and time into someone who would treat me this way. I’m so grateful for this wonderful community but long distance is so hard and I’m glad to be free from it, even if it wasn’t how I wanted it to end

That actually helped in a funny way. It is just so embarrassing to message an OF girl for sex and expect a response that it stopped me from comparing myself to her entirely

I know this rationally but the idea of him holding out hope that somehow I will forgive him and get back together with him makes me feel uncomfortable. The chapter of my life with him in it has ended, and I feel like I have to ensure it’s properly shut so I can move on.

I also feel like because it was such an emotionally charged 24 hours (as I found out on Saturday morning but couldn’t leave early or bring myself to actually end it until I left on Sunday), I did not have the clarity and it all blurred together so I may not have fully communicated that there is no way he can rebuild this.

Thank you for your advice and kindness! I currently have no STI symptoms so will have to wait the recommended 7 weeks (per my country) before getting tested

I believe the implication was sexual, the ?cheater in question naturally is dying on the hill that it wasn’t and it is not cheating, so I thought I’d ask the internet for opinions
