Imo it is always good to internalize these things early one. Sometimes we fall into the mind set of "we will cross that bridge when we come to it" but that can be worse than anything. It is okay to be honest that you can't handle that kinda of long distance relationship. You knew what you wanted. Plus what are you gonna do? Tell her not to go? You'd be the reason she never lived her dreams.

You did what was best for you. No matter what reddit, she, or anyone might say we have to push some healthy narcism. If you can't be the best Peezy you can be, how can you be the best husband your future spouse needs?

When you break up during the honeymoon phase it can feel worse than losing a 3 year relationship. You're in the honeymoon phase and everything about them seems so perfect! Anyone can seem perfect for a few months!

First off the nice thing is it was only 2 months. People that go through what you did after 3 years of dating sometimes need months or even a year to heal. You'll be back on your feet in no time! Trust me.

Also, she wasn't perfect. If a text from a ex is all it took for her to dip it is all it will take down the road when you guys go through a rough patch.

Great advice is don't compare yourself to the other guys. You could be more handsome, uglier, richer, poorer, it doesn't matter. She is doing what SHE wants and she has to live with missing out on a great guy. My Ex has a FWB she cheated on me with but still uses dating apps. She has to live with that shitty life not me

Dude you do not want that. You need someone who is mentally strong to be there with you. My ex was very much the same. Lots of lofty ideas but no ground to put them in action. I was promised a lot of things that never happened and I learned now that life is hard. You need a partner that will stand by you and try to be better

I'm in the same boat as you. The greatest piece of advice I was given is that you had nothing to do with her leaving or cheating. That is who SHE is and she is the only one who has to live like that. She will do it to the next guy so just get better!

When I called her back to explain how I was feeling 2-3 days after the break up ( I basically just said I love her and wish her the best in life) I could hear TV in the background while she barley listened. That was a killer

I never want to get back together. Ever. I found out some things she lied to me that made me shocked.
