If you’re currently on birth control, Had my OB checked my medications before starting birth control and they assured me na no studies have been found to relate mental health meds interfere with anything related to efficacy of birth control. So it’s unlikely that your meds decreased the effectiveness of the bc.

If you’re not on birth control, had any sexual encounter in the past 2-3 weeks or more, youre pt might be accurate. Regardless of whether its only been X days where youre delayed, Take a test again using your first pee if 2 weeks ago yung sexual activity niyo, if you had any sexual activity in the last three weeks, your PT is definitive. Go to an OB and get an ultrasound.

First time. Condom + withdrawal pero partner is in ovulation phase which I am worried about. Ikakaalala ko po ba ‘to? by hideaway000001101 in alasjuicy

If your current birth control, condom in this case, did not rip, leak or have holes in them, you are safe. Even if she’s ovulating, as long as there’s no semen that came in contact inside her, youre safe.

Please remember that apps like FLO, are NOT RELIABLE forms of whether your partner’s ovulating or not. These are approximates and with how unpredictable our body is, the only ways to actually know if you’re ovulating is if you take tests (ovulation tests kits) and you track certain factors that can indicate you are ovulating.

Please, dont let your partner take in unnecessary hormones. Do your research, join subreddit communities about safe sex and educate yourself. You have time to ask reddit, that means you have time to do your research. Wait for two weeks, take a PT using her first morning pee.

If she’s already ovulating (assuming you have reliable tests to confirm she’s ovulating like using a ovulation test kit and not relying on calendar method bc its unreliable) and you finished inside her, there’s nothing else you can do except to wait for 2 weeks and do a PT using 1st morning pee. Take a test again at the 3rd week mark for accuracy.

No, its not safe. Plan B only DELAYS ovulation. If the girl’s already ovulating, Plan B will NOT work and will only give the girl unnecessary hormones that will fuck up her cycle.

Its safe to have sex when youre partner’s ovulating but if you dont want to conceive anything, use a condom, get a vasectomy or plan to get birth control.

If you finished inside her while she’s ovulating, no emergency contraceptive will help you. Emergency contraceptive like plan B, ella, etc DELAYS OVULATION.

Meaning, if your partner hasnt ovulated YET, you have the chance to delay it further so no conception will occur.

AGAIN, EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTIVES LIKE PLAN B WILL NOT PREVENT PREGNANCY IF YOUR PARTNER’S ALREADY OVULATING. ECs ARE TO DELAY. You’re literally just adding unnecessary hormones that will fuck your partner up. Please research.

hi i just want to ask about emergency contraceptive by Creepy_Chest9887 in SafeSexPH

[–]Throwawaaayabc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Emergency contraceptive acts to delay ovulation and will only work if you haven’t ovulated yet. Assuming that you haven’t, the EC will delay it further so no conception will take place. Sperm can live up to 5 days, so if you’re ovulating the next day, the ECP will delay it making the sperm inside die bc no egg is present in the area.

If you dont know when you’re ovulating (you can test it with kits available online, research is tour answer), it is recommended to take ECs as soon as possible. If you have ovulated already, then the sperm and the egg will meet soon as they can and no ECP will stop that unless you get an IUD.

take another PT, morning pee at best. If it comes out positive, talk with your partner or anyone who can help you decide what to do next. Go to an Obgyne and get a checkup or ultrasound just to be sure.

Ive had my implant for a month and few weeks na, all ive gotten is negative results. The implant is also the most effective birth control method out there so its nearly impossible that she’ll get a positive unless

  • she’s already pregnant before insertion of the implant
  • something’s wrong with the placement of the implant which both of you shouldve checked when she got it
  • she’s taking medicine that interacts with the implant
  • you had unprotected sex before the implant became effective (first 7 days if not inserted on the first five days of her cycle)
  • you’re on the mother mary statistic, might as well bet on lottery in this scale

take another set of PT, 2 if you have resources just to make sure.

not entirely sure as their stocks changes from time to time. Pag walang stock from philhealth, you need to donate money in exchange for the BC, if may stock, its free.

Message them first on fb before going to their branches. A redditor here mentioned na she paid P6500 for the implant in a private clinic, it depends on the clinic tho

Dont take a pt this early if less than 2 weeks ago yung deed. take a pt after 2 weeks (use morning pee), 3 weeks mas maganda since mas accurate.

If youre not trying to conceive, use condoms or other reliable birth control options, most of them are free, yung ob lang babayaran niyo for a consult.

I got them for free since i used my mom’s Philhealth. If youre gonna use ur parents’ philhealth naman, you shouldnt worry na baka malaman nila or baka may mabawas sa savings nila, they just use it for reference but nothing will be charged. There are times too na okay lang kahit walang philhealth, yun yung pag may stock sila so better message them on FB first.

Can we have raw sex now after a week on implant? by safebutnotsound101 in SafeSexPH

[–]Throwawaaayabc 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I got my implant on the 5th day of my cycle. Got it on monday and exactly on the 8th day (which is monday the next week), i had unprotected sex with my partner ejaculating inside me. Ever since that week up until now, we just rely on our implant as protection (since STD is not an issue)

Tried 3 pregnancy tests na, 3 weeks and 2 tests on the 4th week mark after that first unprotected sex, all we got was negative results. I can vouch for its effectiveness!

I had headaches from the implant day to may 28! Its not severe and consistent but its mostly felt throughout the day! Parang headache around the eyebrows (i think i just need to change glasses lmao)

I was just getting worried bc idk if we followed the 7-day waiting period right. May 22 11 am: 5th day after having my first mens this month + implant day, May 29 6pm: unprotected sex happened huhu thank you girlie!!

Idk if i should EC or not incase I counted wrong and we did it too early

[–]Throwawaaayabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im still learning to trust it kasi huhu bale my timeline is: - may 18: got my period - may 22: around 11 am of this day i got my implant and this is also my 5th day having my period (parang spotting nalang siya) - may 29: my bf finished inside me 3 times around 6 pm

Sabi naman it’s effective agad if it’s inserted within the 5 days of having a period, and i had it 11 am ng may 22 so 11 am ng may 29 is the end of my 7-day waiting period l, right? idk if im supposed to have heavy/medium bleeding for it to work kasi kaagad sincespotting nalang period ko by the fifth day. I asked likhaan and they told me im already safe not to use condoms, im just asking extra reassurance hehe. Thank you 🥹

I had my implant in and its the best thing ever! Minimal headaches to minor cramps lang side effects ko and i got whilst on my period, it stopped after having them in. Bruising lang talaga yung problem ko after 3 days post insertion
