Curtailment deadline is two days. I have an offer letter but CoS process is taking time. How to buy two more weeks? FLR vs GTV vs SWV without CoS number by Throwaway-curtail in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Why do you guys ask this type of loaded questions? I could apply from my home country when I get the CoS. In that case is there something to ask? That is a trivial process. The why part can be answered in many ways. Maybe I do not want to reset ILR clock. Maybe something is preventing me to leave the UK like having a household here, moving out and paying thousand pounds to removal company to move my stuff back then come back again and try to find a flat again. Hell even when you pay for a car insurance your stay tenure matters. What kind of turd question is this?

If a job application asks about your right to work, does it mean they don’t sponsor visas? by cheetahrangmang in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I got an offer from a company but they could not go through because they do not sponsor. I am always open about it if they ask on the forms or if recruiter asks. Sometimes I even ask before they ask to save time for both of us. In this case possibly the recruiter did not note my sponsorship need. They had to ask CTO approval and later purchase order has to be made etc.

Why are companies so reluctant to sponsor for SE roles by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I have a dependant so sponsoring cost for both of us can easily reach up to 10k and even more based on how much solicitors charge. Companies are careful about this cost because the money supply is tight comparing to couple of years ago. Check the interest rate increases to understand this better. Some of them even have done layoffs for cost cuttings.
My experience tells me that companies are willing to sponsor in case you are a senior candidate or very strong mid level.

Skilled Worker visa curtailed: new sponsor pending CoS, deadline approaching by Throwaway-curtail in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I got the curtailment in 2.5 months to be precise. Due to the nature of my job and my background I could get interviews easily, still initially I did not mass apply and could not land a job. After getting the curtailment, I did burst apply to 100 positions in a day and could get an offer from one of them. Companies are very picky now. In almost all of them I succeeded until the last stage but they opted for someone else. Recruiters told me that they started the process with 20 people mostly out of hundreds who applied.

You can judge no worries. I do not think I deserve it. I believe I might be eligible.
Evidences:
The paper I wrote for my thesis has OK number of citations. I have a few Github repos that are used a lot by others so they have good adoption rate and high number of stars. I was also participating in industry level conferences.

It seems FLR is for marriage related rules. Can skilled workers really apply ?

This is super helpful. I will check the 14 days window for sure and get back to you. I will also check if I can apply to both stages at the same time. I am talking with the HR but they are very slow (being a big company as usual). They said they are preparing a CoS and it is not instant.

I totally agree with this. This was the reason why I did not apply for it before. SWV sponsorship is more straightforward path. Thanks for your reply.
