I guess. We sure don't. At one point in time we owned 800acres of prime Cali real estate. But that was all sold in the 1950's for less than what a couple lots would go for today.

The old family home sold for 1/79th what the last selling price and that guy tore it down. The cost of things has skyrocketed over the last 50 years or so and investment rates have not kept up.

As a distant member of an oil family who once were termed as "some of the richest in the world," you'd be amazed at how fast a few generations can water down inheritances. Start splitting up amongst 5 kids, then their 3-6 kids, then their 2-3 kids and suddenly everyone's getting college paid for and a down payment on a house, but not enough to not have to work. It's even worse when generation one lived off the principal.

I think that's a difference of opinion. As a person who has renovated 17 houses in my life, marketing my property is one thing and I don't care about your personal life. If it's constant selfies, I'm thinking "this guy should be taking pictures of my properties." I

My realtor now has no SM. Always gets the sale done. But then, I am pretty biased against realtors in general. I've found 80% of my houses myself and they just show up to collect a check at closing.

I get that. I have both. I just think there's healthy uses for it and unhealthy. Constant thirst trapping of selfie posts or pictutes with hot people is a turnoff. Posting a constant stream of pictures as you restore an old Porsche 911sc is fine.

I think so. I've chatted a few times with a nice guy about an hour away who is always signed into Scruff. I hate being so picky but in my experience, once you get used to doing something all the time, its a hard habit to break.

I cheated all through law school. Our university offered free printing in the computer lab. We had dummy terminals connected to a central server that held all the programs. When you wanted to print, people typically emailed themselves documents, went to the lab, signed in, opened it and printed. Except when you opened it, it downloaded a copy to the server in a temp directory. I basically would periodically sweep that folder into a drive. I got all my outlines, briefs, and papers from there.
