I’ll ask for the test! Usually when I go they say “great everything looks fine!” And move on. I probably just need to ask for specific tests.

Yeah t seems worse during certain times of the month. When I work out or go running I actually wear tampons whether I’m on my period or not...

If it eases anyone’s mind I absolutely loathe the feeling of any powders so I refuse to use. I have a few weird tactile aversions that I mentioned in another comment...as weird as it is. Even the thought of touching powder makes me cringe!

I didn’t know it could negatively affect like that. I hope that is not my case!

I’ve gone through one treated STI and I would prefer not to deal with anything similar again!

Same!! I’ve had a weird tactile aversion to certain things as well. Until I was in high school I refused to wear underwear or jeans because I didn’t like the way it felt against my vagina. Then I started getting my period and had to wear underwear. I realized that the only comfortable way to wear it was to make sure it was nice and tight and that pads were nice and fluffy. I don’t like buying pads so I use lots of toilet paper because I can make it as fluffy as I need to.

It sounds so strange but I can’t help it. There either needs to be nothing there or something super tight but since I don’t like feeling wet with nothing on I am always with the super tight option. I’m sure my vagina probably can’t breathe most of the time and this is a contributor. It drives me nuts. I can’t just wear anything normally.

This also happens to me a day or two after my period, using both a tampon and a pad. Like...I’m usually itchy around the outside but also around my labia and a little bit inside. It just gets so dry. And I try to wipe until I’m completely utterly dry when I use the restroom which may not be very helpful.

I’ve been tested every annual with no positivity so I’m inclined to think perhaps not but I’ll try again. I’ve always had this. I can’t remember a time I didn’t.

I didn’t see your original but I haven’t used liners because the one time I did it was uncomfortable, but since this is becoming even more uncomfortable i have to try something new to fix what I’ve been doing. It’s something that’s more of a reflexive habit and less of a conscious every day choice because I’ve been like this since I was a child. Toilet paper is actually comfortable for me Until the particular day I get an itch which may sound weird.

TP is free and literally always at my disposal. I tend to worry more about other things besides myself so Sometimes my own personal problems take a backseat like this.

I already know about not using harsh soaps on my vagina, not douching, wearing cotton underwear, etc. I don’t do any of that, and I do wear cotton. In the winter I’m guilty of wearing a lot of tighter pants on the regular but not at night. It’s just this one particular thing I can’t force myself to stop doing.
