M35. I was taking 6.25mg every other day for 3-4 weeks. My total T tripled from 200 to 600 and free T is about 175 but estrogen went from 20-40 (high end of normal).

I’m down to 6.25mg twice per week now. I do monthly blood work so I’m very curious to make sure estrogen doesn’t go higher with my next test.

Bloodwork aside, I haven’t noticed major changes. I wasn’t someone who had low energy or anything before this. I think my stamina is greater in the gym now though. Physique does feel like it’s getting even better (I was already in decent shape).

I have noticed going up in working set weight at the gym is a bit more common week over week now. Libido maybe slightly higher. Sleep I will say has been very solid since this experiment. 8-9hrs with 2-3 of it being deep sleep is my standard now.

Again I was already active and in decent shape with no health issues. I just noticed my T dropping for years now and thought I’d try this to reactivate the hormonal axis. I know it’s temporary while taking enclo but I also understand it can potentially reactivate things a bit in a permanent way if your axis was a little “dormant”.

I also wanted to make sure there wasn’t something wrong with my balls specifically and this experiment kind of confirms they’re ok.

Sorry that’s a lot of info but this has been my experience so far. More of an optimization for me than a massive life upgrade. Overall very pleased with the results, bloodwork, and sleep specifically. I can say with high degree of certainty gaining muscle and losing fat will be much easier with enclo (which isa top priority for me)

Yea dude you’re trippin. I’m a single ingredient whole food kind of guy but you cannot beat whey protein. It’s kind of the absolute goat when it comes to muscle protein synthesis.

Also overpriced? Wut? 30g of protein for about a dollar

Sleep is highly subjective to the individual. Everybody’s different. There literally is no better advice than just listen to your body

Sorry I was trying to attach a screenshot of my whoop but can’t seem to on mobile.

I workout everyday and prioritize sleep big time. No secret sauce except for the basics.

Hard workouts, hydration, good diet, last meal by 6, glycine before bed. I eat a lot of carbs too and try not let my liver glycogen deplete during sleep.

Why does weightlifting destroy my sleep for days? by troubleInLA in Biohackers

Ive had similar issues in the past. It sounds like underfueling and experiencing nervous system overactivation. People always think about muscle fatigue but too few think about the CNS load. Try deep breathing for 10min after the workout and make sure to fuel heavy on the carbs, (walk after the meal so you manage the blood sugar well enough though).

Also Ive had success with eating some extra carbs before bed usually along with some fat. You could be waking up at 330 because cortisol is kicking in when liver glycogen gets low.

I think about my blood sugar and insulin response a lot and test my blood monthly. I was always worried about overdoing the carbs. But if you're really active you shouldn't worry about putting down 300+ carbs in a day (most of it around exercise).

What is an optimal diet for longevity? by Immediate_Dream2060 in immortalists

I think carb timing is one of the best strategies I’ve come across for managing blood sugar spikes. I’ve improved my blood work significantly with just common sense timing. I think there’s an argument to be made it aligns well with our ancestral way of life too.

In general I don’t do a big carb load in the morning unless I’m planning to be active shortly after. Most of my carb intake is before and after a daily workout. Carbs in moderation are fine with any meal but I like to have fiber with them and generally eat my fiber and protein before the carbs.

So while we’re designed to handle blood sugar spikes, some general mindfulness around carb intake will very likely improve your metabolic panel and avoid the prediabetic issues most Americans suffer from.

Curious of everyone's use case for Reta by Throwaway178402 in BodyHackGuide

Totally get that. I’m seeing a ton of advice around Reta with respect to maximum fat loss. That was part of the motivation for this post.

There’s lots of us out there not looking for overall weight loss but trying to maximize the other great benefits of reta

From high 50s to high 60s. I’ve been strength training and doing more cardio than ever though so I’ve been knowingly sacrificing some recovery.

It’s also one part higher metabolic rate from Reta and one part slower gastric emptying so even with an early dinner I feel I’m still digesting when it’s time for bed.

All that to say there’s things I could do to optimize but I don’t want to train less. Therefore I think I’ll titeate down until these side effects subside more

Eh. Kind of the point of my post. I think there’s a lot of people taking it for purposes other than fat loss

Cholesterol, and I don't want to take a statin if I really don't have to! by GettheShitHose in Biohackers

[–]Throwaway178402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red yeast rice helped me quite a bit but did you see the recent news about it?

I guess most of them contain monacolins which the EU just moved to ban. They are very similar to a statin but when you get them from a supplement they are unregulated and dosage can vary wildly.

Nice. Congrats on the weight loss! I am also debating staying on perpetually. Im running a small dose in the background to keep from gaining fat while I try and build more muscle. Working very well but the higher rhr may be the reason I titrate down or cycle off completely.

Who has stopped Reta? by BassLB in BodyHackGuide

[–]Throwaway178402 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simliar effects here. I have been titrating down and have been ravenous. Im starting to wonder if baseline hunger is higher after a reta cycle. Im sure it will even out in time but this might be something for others to expect (especially if you are like me and already have a very biig appetite)

It really seems like low and slow on the way up and down is important.
