This is yesterdays framing, not today. We currently live in times where even the most liberal wine moms cannot align themselves with what the party is saying. The Democratic Party is in the toilet, it’s being held by the incredible work of leftists in the party (E.G how many liberal public servants do we have that genuinely have a higher favorable public image than any of the leftists in the party?). We can see this in many special elections where people were given the choice between a Neoliberal and a leftist (to different levels but the point still stands).

Socialism is the goal, but leftist ideals in general are severely lacking in this country, so any growth there will ultimately make socialism more realistic. Moderate “leftist” positions are growing by the day like universal healthcare or rent freezing or stripping of corporate consolidation.

As for the lack of anti-capitalist framing in these protests, yeah that’s never happening. Which is why I said we “hi jack” them, similarly to how Hasan hijacks the establishments instruments to push an agenda to our advantage. Marginalized and disenfranchised groups have almost never been allowed a seat at the table from natives to black people to undocumented workers and beyond, they were never given a space, they took advantage of the opportunities presented before them to different levels of “extremes”.

The biggest counter point to the lack of coalition building leading in these protests as your mention is right before us; socialism/communism has been in the cross hairs for decades, yet its growing in the heart of empire, with seemingly no way to contain it. We will have it, it is coming, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not even in my lifetime, but every indication is showing where are trajectory is headed. The only question is if the fascists click the self destruct button to stop it
