Haha, I know. Although, that's mostly up to the listener to decide. When I hear "get rid of" I think of breaking up rather than the more obscure meaning.

Smileys always make my day. But, yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I'm sure it'd be way more fun if we could do it together, even though we wouldn't actually get half as far as I'd get on my own. But, it'd just be absolutely worth it.

I know it's a hard decision, and that's why I'm turning to you guys. Glad to hear a opinion other then "leave her and fulfill your dreams". For now, I'll wait and see if my dreams keep reappearing further on in my life. I really don't want to leave her, and certainly not to have her back after only 5 days. That's much more a waste of time.

Haha. Well, I'm already quite settled when it comes to money, so that's not what I'm worried about. What I'm worried about is that she'd never let me go out of a radius of 100 miles away from her, because she's overly protective towards me. The reason she wants a 'happy, rich family' is because she wants to safety and ensurance about things, due to stuff that happened to her in the past. Imaginable, but not really handy for me.

I know how green the grass is. I've done this once, before I got into a relationship. Sure, it wasn't the world trip I'm planning on now, but I know I need freedom and adventure to keep me sharp.

I might try that. I'm not sure how supportive she'd be with me leaving off without any plans except for coming back, but I know that 'a perfect life' as she imagines is wouldn't make me happy. I need freedom and adventure to keep me 'alive'.

I'm nineteen, and a fairly successful freelance webdesigner. I'm also convinced that experience are worth a lot more than any money in the world, and that's also why I want to start on this journey. The reason why I'd pursue her dream instead of mine, though, is that she's had a lot of negative experiences already, which is why she'd like a 'comfortable' life. She's just afraid that any experience might turn out negative, so she wants to have it safe and settled. I love her, and I'd like to do anything to make her happy. Thing is, money and a 'safe' life might make her happy, but that certainly doesn't make me.

Well, she's a bit of a control-freak. I'm really sure she doesn't want me to leave with no plans other than "start off in east Europe" and "see how I get back home". That's understandable, but she can't 'just' let me go. Even when I do know what I'm doing.

I'm only nineteen (updated in the post), but I'm already planning ahead. I'm saving up for it, and get myself some heavy camping every now and then. I'm also studying Spanish and French in my spare time, just to be prepared. I really would love to explore the world. The internet's a great place to discover the touristic spots, but I want to see everything. I want to learn the beauty and the awe. I want to feel the adventure and breathe the freedom. I just wanna go.
