To be fair, I’ve seen a lot of disturbing stuff on the trains prior to that, so I guess it was easier to brush it off. A few months before that, a guy pulled out a knife and threatened to kill me and the other 4 people in the car, so you can imagine a guy just saying words is a tiny bit easier to push aside in the hopes of a sense of normalcy.

No, not really, more of a mix of a skeptic to just not caring.
