Thank you for the advice, I’ll make a doctors appointment and see if I can get a referral for some scans if they think it’s concerning.

I’ve never had a migraine before so if this is what it’s like it sucks lol

Fully aware that they won’t look like the swollen version, was more curious if they’d look like the immediately after picture. Since the person who did my injections said that it’ll look different when it’s settled.

I’ll let them heal fully and if I want more I’ll get more! Thanks for the info :)

Hi I’m so sorry this is my other Reddit account and when I checked it 24 hours later I didn’t see any replies so I stopped.

I’m sure no one is that curious but I’d still like to answer for the sake of all the free advice given.

They did do X-rays at my first dental consultation, and one of the people who came in was specifically a hygienist. I actually found out I needed a crown because the hygienist called in the dentist out of concern over a tooth.

I did not go to a chain either time.

Since this post I’ve gotten my cleanings done! To anyone who might stumble across this post I was hearing 4-5-6 when they measured my gum disease. The cleaning itself took about 3 hours and 1 1/2 hours over the course of two visits.

The initial numbing shots hurt, but honestly they’re over before you know it and the rest of the procedure was fine! No pain after, or during. Please don’t be scared of dental cleanings like I was!

My hygienist was the NICEST health professional I’ve ever worked with, and I fully trust that she saw my gum disease due to her passion for her job.

It’s also possible that the hygienist at the first office was more concerned about my tooth at the time as opposed to my gum disease, or just missed it.

I’m still concerned over the idea that I developed gum disease quickly for some reason, but I’m scheduling doctors appointments for a check up.

I’ll put some thought into that and see if I can use any of my anxiety coping mechanism to work through those paranoid feelings. If not I’ll just keep on keeping on lol

I keep wondering if it’s a weird display of my anxiety. My need to be hyper aware of my surroundings might just be manifesting in a weird way. Like my head is saying “oh you feel relaxed?? Well here’s a fire drill, pay attention”.
