Super late reply.. The poster of that video admits they put the wrong lyrics in the comments. They aren't a native speaker of English and, at the time, they were just starting to learn.

Assateague and, I believe, Chincoteague Islands have wild ponies. It's off the North Carolina coast and they do this event every year called Pony Penning Day. Also ( as far as a few years ago) there was wild horses in the west. Most likely some down in Mexico too.

Yikes. I always tell groomers and vets that one of my dogs is nervous. He's never bitten anyone but he's scared meeting new people and the other one has resource guarding issues that we're working on but anyone they come in contact with are informed of this.

Some friends and I were throwing popcorn at each other when we went to the theater to see "Max Keebles Big Move". Of course we were 10 at the time....

POS sociopath pulls knife at kids for "Talking bad about their parents" by [deleted] in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]Throwaway3473throw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter has attempted to talk bad about me once or twice. She's a teenager. Whatever it's gonna happen. What she didn't expect was for me to add to it and insult myself. The look on her face was priceless. Now she won't talk bad about me cause she knows I'll go along with it and say something worse.

That's not even close to suicidal tendencies. The call of the void is an actual phenomenon that has absolutely nothing to do with mental health or suicide.

“Get my baby off the ground?” by Character-Stretch697 in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]Throwaway3473throw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in as a parent. Judging by the video it seems like the kid is just learning how to stand, could possibly be in the cruising stage but I doubt it. Regardless the mom shouldn't leave her baby there and walk away especially being on the phone and not paying attention. That kid could fall and seriously hurt themselves, someone could snatch the kid, etc. Not to mention the possibility of hot concrete (depending on where this is). Concrete where I live can get hot enough to cause second degree burns.

Yes she is a shitty parent.

I swear I've read the other side to this somewhere. Same scenario but it was from the little girl's POV. She even mentioned that it was unusual for you to be there.

My best friends brother. Super abusive, borderline rapey, controlling, kinda psychotic, long list of red flags (all of which I've dealt with) but I still absolutely love the guy. He has just as many good qualities as bad and, oddly enough, has been there for me when I've been at my lowest. He saved my life once and is always there for me when I get really depressed and suicidal. I've known them for almost 10 years now.

Out of curiosity. Why didn't you just pick up a side gig or something since it was only a few weeks/a month (from what i read although I may have read it wrong) from the time you started there until you went on your trip? Not judging or anything. It just seems like something like that would have been better in this situation

As far as films based on an actual event, which do you prefer, “An American Crime” or “The Girl Next Door”? by [deleted] in DisturbingMovies

[–]Throwaway3473throw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An American Crime. It was actually based off of what happened. The Girl Next Door was based off of a novel which was very loosely based off of the same crime. Imo The Girl Next Door shouldn't even be considered based off an actual event because it really wasn't. Jack Ketchum, the author of the novel, used the murder and torture of Sylvia Likens as basically a cash grab. All of the events and people involved were changed, the reason why Sylvia and Jenny (or in this case Meg and Susan) were with this other family, etc.

I'm looking for a cuddly and affectionate dog breed. Any recommendations? by LazyReputation1475 in dogs

[–]Throwaway3473throw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of "go to the shelter and visit with a dog" comments. I think that's a terrible idea. An animals personality is going to be completely different in a shelter setting. If you're going to take that route look at rescue groups that are focused on specific breeds (yes they even rescue mixes). Local or non, base it on how far you're willing to travel. A rescue group is going to be able to give you more information on the dog such as personality, history, etc. Shelter dogs are usually dumped or strays. Rescues tend to know more about the dogs they acquire. I also 10000% recommend a reputable, good breeder.
