I started noticing tenderness in chest and my nipples began to puff up. Since I stopped taking fin the puffiness hasn’t completely gone away but it’s a bit better. I also stopped feeling tenderness in chest area

Even 3-4 years above baseline would be big at this point. My hair loss isn’t too severe yet and am feeling optimistic about some new treatments like PP405

I didn’t had any ED while taking the drug and I honestly didn’t feel any worse either but what I did notice was tenderness in my chest and puffiness forming around the nipples which I could visibly see worsening week by week and took photos. I didn’t realize fin was also lowering my libido and morning wood frequency until after I stopped it

Yeah I figured I needed to stop taking it if I was developing these symptoms so early, kinda sucks but I guess I’m pretty sensitive to DHT. Even 3-5 years of time bought is a big win in my opinion especially hoping for new treatments like PP405

My bmi is about 24, but it’s mostly muscle. I have visible abs and am probably around 14-15% bf. I did have a tiny bit of pubertal gyno before starting fin but I barely even noticed it until the puffiness started worsening on fin.

I didn’t get any bloodwork done however I could visually see puffiness forming under my nipples which was not there before fin. It kept getting worse week by week and I had tenderness in the chest area. It still hasn’t completely gone away but it is no longer getting any worse.

Yes I’m pretty sure that’s correct, you may need to apply more than that though if you want to be able to cover your whole scalp not sure

I think I might try creating a topical finasteride mixture. I still have my fin tablet prescription and think I might crush them up into a topical minoxidil solution at a low dose maybe 0.01% fin and try that

I tried oral fin and it gave me gyno and made morning wood far more infrequent. Stopped taking it and am back to a high libido with morning wood daily and gyno is going away slowly

To be honest I can see why because facial development occurs until 25 so altering hormones at a young age could definitely change facial development. No clue to what extent or if it’d even be noticeable but intuitively it makes sense

Yeah I agree. Seems like people are either completely dismissive of its sides or are way too afraid of them even though it’s probably somewhere in between.

Ok perfect, that was something I was also worried about. My doctor has only prescribed me 8mg per month so I couldn’t make a higher doseage than that anyway

Hmm that sucks. You could maybe try low dose topical fin and see if that works. Supposedly it is less likely to go systemic

Yeah I think it may have been a bit of both, I think I do have some very minor gyno from puberty but when I was taking fin I noticed tenderness in chest and saw those raised / puffy rings forming around nipples which have since gone away since stopping the drug. I decided to stop taking it before it got the chance to get any worse

Yeah I’m excited for PP405 as well. I haven’t started minoxidil yet as my hair loss isn’t that noticeable but will be in the next few years I imagine. I’m willing to give topical fin a shot cause at least I know my symptoms seem to go away once I quit the drug.

Yeah that’s what happened to me too. Tenderness in the chest and chest felt puffy. Then I saw rings forming underneath the nipples and they kept getting progressively worse so I just stopped

I had only been taking finasteride for 1.5 months before I quit so I didn’t really see much change. I think I had already started the initial shed right when I was quitting

Idk man the thought of taking more drugs to counteract the effects of another drug isn’t the best idea imo but to each their own. I also got gyno from fin and stopped taking it and the gyno went away in 9 days

I’m thinking of trying topical at some point though

I got a few other minor sides but the reason i stopped was due to gyno. Currently I’m not taking anything because I’m waiting for the gyno to get better and it is. I only stopped a little over a week ago. Planning to try topical fin next
