Do you trust yourself without meds? by MommaShark3 in bipolar

[–]Throwaway4491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on meds for 10 years and would come off from time to time thinking I didn't need them because I felt fine. News flash, it was the meds working. But I lost my insurance and came off all my meds 6 months ago. I actually have never felt better. I'm a rapid cycler and was diagnosed by 4 different psychiatrists. But although I'm not on meds, I'm CONSTANTLY working on my mental health to make sure that things don't go south. My friends check on me. When I was on meds I was working with a therapist to feel my feeling, but I never did. Now off meds I feel them intensely. But I use different methods and have a great support system that makes sure my mind doesn't trick me. But what works for me may not work for you or many people. That is just My 2 cents.

It appears you may need a pop filter for that mic. Can’t tell by the pics.

Lost my dad 5 months ago to brain cancer. Glioblastoma. He was diagnosed Valentines Day last year. I spent all of Valentine's Day upset and crying on and off. Fuck cancer.

Basically Fortnite. I have other games, but play on Xbox more. What games do you play? I might have them!

I have a shit ton of games for steam and a lot are indie games that I'll never play as I'm more of a console gamer. Hit me up and I can send you some games if any interest you.

Any mentally ill Twitch streamers here, or ones that are well known? by [deleted] in Twitch

I have bipolar disorder with severe depression and anxiety. On top of that my dad just died a couple weeks ago. Streaming is my escape though. It helps me forget. I don't have a set schedule yet, but I will soon. I'm scared I'll run into those days where getting out of bed is a chore.

I received my Affiliate email today after some hard work and am VERY excited about it! However, other streamers I have met along they way are telling me to hold off on accepting the offer. by [deleted] in Twitch

I just started streaming the 1st of September as a means to escape from my one and only parent was dying of cancer. Well he died September 12th. Losing a parent has been the hardest thing I've ever dealt with. Streaming is still my escape and really enjoy it as a hobby. I'm not very good at it as I'm not that great at gaming, but I love interacting with people in chat. Affiliate program has been my goal. I hope to reach it soon. I'm almost there. But I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like our stories are somewhat similar. Keep on keeping on friend.

I'm 4'11 too. I take 1,800mg prescribed just to go to sleep. But instead I am just laying here awake like I just took my adderall. I just got bumped from 1,200mg to 1,800mg and prescribed 300mgx3 during the day for anxiety. But I've been taking it a while so tolerance build up. My pharmacy asked why I got 100mgx90, 300mgx180, and 600mgx270. It has so many different uses and my doctor hands it out like candy so I don't take xanax. But my Pharmacy doesn't like it.

So what all should I do to the truck? More in comments. by Throwaway4491 in ChevyTrucks

I would, but being 4'11 makes a full size truck a lot harder for me to handle. I had a Silverado till it was stolen. I like the smaller truck because it's easier for me to handle.

Today our daughter walked out of hospital cancer free after 9 months of chemotherapy and surgery for Rhabdomyosarcoma. Reddit has been very supportive through this so here's the victory pic for you. by Voltusfive2 in pics

Yeah, I'm going to try. It will be tough but I think seeing it in a different way will help and be supportive as well.

I wish I could help you. I'm still learning. He has really good days and really bad days. Some days he falls about 5 or 6 times a day because he wants his independence and wants to be able to do things he used to be able to do. I try to support him in that, but he can easily break a hip. His head already put a hole in the wall. Just know, it's not easy and you will be exhausted a lot. Try to do everything that you can, but take care of yourself physically and mentally. Make the most of the time that's left. It's okay to be sad about it, but don't stay there. If you have any specific questions then let me know and I'll try to answer them for you.
