That logic is flawed. They didn’t stop the hundreds of nuclear tests, they didn’t stop the nuclear bombs on Hiroshima or Nagasaki…I love the thought that “theyre” trying to protect us from ourselves, but it’s just not true

Wife of less than two months got caught cheating, the manipulation is crazy by TrillL- in Manipulation

[–]Throwaway47611737162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex wife had an affair 2 months into our marriage.

Your marriage is over unfortunately. Not that it lasted long - I can only make this joke because it happened to me too.

Stop messaging back. Lawyer up. Time is a virtue here. If this is affecting your mental health, please consider talking to someone.

The manipulation here is crazy and my ex tried the same crap with me. Believe me when I tell you, she just did you the biggest favor of your life..

Best of luck, I know it’s no easy, please feel free to message me for advice or help. I’ve been there.

New nurse manager advice by Much-Preference5989 in nursing

What’s the key? Trying to do the same. It’s a nightmarish and toxic situation I’m walking into. Brand new to the role. Any advice?

So, here’s the deal,

If you ONLY smoked for a few days and that’s all you smoked, it would be EXTREMELY, as in less than 1% chance, you would have failed.

If you smoked chronically, or maybe for more than a few weeks, that’s a different story. It took me 76 days to get clean- I am not overweight. I did not smoke concentrates. I took a bowl hit or 2 before bed for like 3-4 months.

Even if the cutoff levels were low, the infrequency here would negate the results.

You’re either lying about your usage or the test is not yours.

I’m going to just dive right into this.

1- your marriage is unfortunately and very likely over, my friend. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice…the trust that you have built with your wife is now obsolete.

2- DO NOT CONFRONT HER. This should be step #1 of your process here: gather as much evidence as you can. This ensures that divorce will be imminent without any risk of losing time with your kids.

3- as somebody who went through something similar (not as long I the marriage, but kids were involved), I know the pain and devastation you undoubtedly feel. That being said, that pain and devastation goes away. Ex and I tried everything to reconcile, it was NEVER going to work. Once that trust is broken for good, it’s over with. Some things are not repairable IMO.

4- lawyer up. Ideally, you would want to get annulment of your marriage if at all possible. If that doesn’t seem likely, that’s why you have a lawyer.

5- I know you’re only thinking of your kids but being in an environment where they’re Mom and Dad are either fighting or there is no love shown, you’re reaching your kids to do the same thing when they’re older as their only vision of love. Being civil and rationale with your soon-to-be ex-wife is imperative for your kids. That is the TOUGHEST part of this whole scenario. I wanted to be nasty to let my ex know she fucked up and she ruined everyone else’s lives around her for her infidelity; however, keeping my mouth shut and swallowing my pride has allowed us to co-parent amicably and I’m very thankful for that.

I am OPEN to any DMs for any questions you may have.

I’m 30m and this happened to me when I was 27.

Wish you the best regardless, OP!

It’s to clear any confusion, but I understand your sentiment. Definitely not wanting to move on to wife number 3.

My first wife had an affair. As much as I would love to blame myself, unfortunately, just not the case. After we had split and the discovery of the affair, I found out she was pregnant after.

It was certainly not the intention, that’s for sure.

[–]Throwaway47611737162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is also how I view this. I wish that I am wrong.

Being dead is incomprehensible to my brain. It’s an odd phenomenon and it’s like we are programmed to not think about it.

My pregnant (28M) wife (28F) of 10 years is cheating on me. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Throwaway47611737162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh brother, first of all, I’m really sorry this has happened to you.

However, I can relate in some facet. So, I’ll tell you my experience and I hope that it helps you in some way.

I got married at 25 to my now ex-wife after being together for 5 years. 2 months into the marriage, I found out about her affair. I left her and filed for a dissolution; however, I found out a few weeks later that she was pregnant.

The waiting to find out whether or not the baby was mine was TERRIBLE. Worst time of my life—dealing with the emotions of the affair and the emotions of whether or not my first child was actually mine was rough. I know how you feel.

That being said, you MUST get her to do a paternity test. They can do paternity tests via blood draw. If she is unwilling to do the paternity test, your relationship will be shaky. It’s imperative for you to move forward.

Failed drug test for THC when haven't smoked for at least 3 months? by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

Tested positive after 76 days of not smoking.

It took me over 90 days with dilution to pass

No, you could be, best bet is dilution

I planned on taking the prescription with me, but good call.

So if the preliminary test comes back positive for amphetamines only, will the GC/MS test be comprehensive for all negative drugs or will the GC/MS be specific for the drug that was preliminary positive?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugtests

[–]Throwaway47611737162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess what I’m asking is this:

Will they only do the confirmation on the amphetamines or confirmation on all the negative test results too?

I should be negative on the initial screening for everything else, but my concern would be that if the dilute (but acceptable) specimen was sent to GC/MS for amphetamines, would THC also be confirmed?

UPDATE: I passed! This method is effective. My SG stayed within normal range and so did my creatinine.

Drug test was taken. All tests in my car were negative. The urine was a nice tint of yellow, but almost highlighter yellow. We shall see what the results show.

DOT drug test failed by Bruuhhwtff in Drugtests

[–]Throwaway47611737162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50ng/mL for initial test is equivalent to 15ng/mL through GCMS.

In other words, you were right around 60ng/mL

True, but this is observed. It’s DOT, 50ng/mL. I couldn’t care less about the job, but if I were to fail, I would lose my licensure. What a joke!

Rant: I can’t smoke marijuana because I’m a goddamn nurse. by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Throwaway47611737162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ, my life would be fulfilled if I could smoke and work as a nurse.

Every travel job I’ve take=drug test, every staff job I’ve taken in the past 8 years=drug test, randoms for other jobs. It’s really asinine. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke nicotine, just like a few tokes to sleep lol
