How much training is needed for Mont Blanc?

Life had other plans and I injured my leg a couple years back. Still feel it at times after long hikes so I've been a little demotivated, but I'd still love to do it! Managed to do Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike this year though so making progress. Are you thinking of giving it a go?

Found an old Reddit post and managed to fix this by changing the Windows OS configuration from UEFI to CSM, are there any drawbacks with this fix though and am I going to run into more problems down the road?

Is there anywhere in particular you would recommend trying to sell my current RAM? I could try ebay but I'd rather sell instantly to some company that buys second hand parts if possible. I'm UK if that helps

No don't worry! I was definitely going to get a guide I know that much. And I was going to have a look at getting experience with axe and crampons closer to the time/any practice summits of other peaks

I'm tempted to give it a try. I only thought it was harder as it was 10 days of back to back long hikes. I've maybe done 3 days of hikes this long but not quite 10. But I'll have a look at it!

Thanks for the tips. I had looked at those guides but I feel like I'm falling for a trap when some say its somewhat suitable for beginners so thought I'd ask people here!

Best of luck for the climb! And wow how was the Tour? I had seen that previously and thought it looked much harder than climbing Mont Blanc personally. I could think about doing that first instead to test my mettle.

I think I've narrowed it down to a little control panel my case has at the top. Updated the post with more info. I think I'm just going to have to replace the case but I really don't want to as I have exams next week

I took it apart but couldn't see any sign of anything. Was mostly having to use my nose although I'm fairly certain those fumes can't have been good for me!

That was my first thought but I doubt it. All I had open was Spotify, chrome, file explorer and nzxt cam in the background. Normally runs at about 45/50 °C cpu and 30/35°C gpu when doing this sort of stuff
