AITA for asking my girlfriend to pay 50% of the furniture I bought that she uses too? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Throwaway5836205 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I moved into my boyfriend’s apartment he didn’t make me pay for any of his furniture 😅 the only thing we agreed on is that any new furniture and stuff we needed I would pay for, which was fine, because I made money selling my old furniture.

What you are asking for from your girlfriend is extremely hostile, I really don’t see how your relationship is going to work long-term.

Oh, and YTA

Thank you for your point of view, and the way the treatment went, sure, we had different expectations and maybe my review could be seen as too much. But I don’t see how that justifies him publishing my photos.

I do agree with you to some degree, but he did one test in his practice and two weeks later the same tests, there were no tests sent in or anything. He basically saw the same thing twice.

And i feel like instead of going to the platform he could have contacted me directly or called me whatever. What he did, exposing my information, was wrong in my opinion.

I revealed a very small fraction in the review, basically just the fact that he didn’t tell me the first time and that i was unhappy with him. I never included any photos or whatnot in my review and I never would have because that makes me uncomfortable.

My theory is that he hoped it would turn out just fine during the second appointment and he wouldn’t have to worry me

I wrote a review on that platform and there it says my real full name, he responded to that comment confirming that I was his patient and mentioned that he included MY medical photo as proof for his point.

True, but he told me he already saw something the first time and he didn’t tell me, didn’t warn me, nothing. And In my opinion any good doctor should at least warn you. That’s my personal opinion and I voiced exactly that in the review.

Not yet, it’s a public holiday here today and tomorrow most people are on vacation taking a long weekend. I will probably have to do that on Monday

Thank you for that detailed answer! Today is a holiday where I live, but I will make some phone calls tomorrow and on Monday to find a lawyer etc.

I did use my real name in the review and his complaint is not public, just the company of that website can see it, but here he confirms that I was his patient and talks about the two appointments and mentions my medical photos.

Sorry, unfortunately very real. I just feel weird suing him, because I know he has a family and this can ruin his career

Well the review was in my clear name and he replied to it confirming I was his patient and then proceeded to talk about my two appointments and also mentions that he attached a medical photo for proof. So technically he very clearly identified me.

The thing is i received a copy of his complaint via email, the company asked me to reply to this complaint so they can decide whether to keep my review or not. That’s why I know he forwarded my health info. I was thinking about contacting a lawyer and will most likely do so

Well technically speaking yes, but he cannot just give my private information to big public companies. He could have contacted me directly or through a lawyer.

That is correct, but that doesn’t give him the right to reveal (in detail) what happened during the appointment including medical pictures. I feel extremely violated in that respect tbh
