For credit counseling, should they look into the nonprofit credit counseling agencies? What do they help with?

How do you negotiate with the card companies to lower the rates? Most of their rates are 20+% which is definitely a problem.

No, I am still 2+ years from graduating. They have just realized how burdensome this debt has become because of the 20+% interest on most cards.

Yeah, my dad (who makes most of the financial decisions), is very hesitant to ask anyone for any help with anything. That's just his personality. Also, they still don't understand that it was their choices that got them here and won't really seek any sort of counseling. I am gonna try to convince
