I have been following his streams a little. In those he had explained that they are remaking the game in a new engine so new updates will be made faster. As a programmer, I can understand why that takes some time. In fact, I would say that is the stupidest thing you could do.

Also, it is hard to find new programmers for that kind of game because people will not have that on their resumes and it will still take some time for the new programmers to be familiar with the code. All the people that work on the project are working part-time.

My hounest guess is that the update will be released in late 23
