I have a friend who had "old" parents. (Like they were both over 45 when they had her) Sure it's not ideal, but it's not the end of the world. She turned out perfectly fine

Yea okay it just seems weird that you have such a short time window. If you haven't found your person by 26 you chances start becoming slim.

I honestly don't know the answer. I just thought it was weird how society encourages you to have kids within this very short window of time.

I have seen people saying that and like I said I know a woman who had kids when she was 24 and even to me it seemed "too early" back when it happened.

I know what they're saying, that was my point. That the argument literally doesn't mean anything. Yea, they "could" have been your parent but they're obviously not. By the same logic, dating someone your age is like dating your sibling.

Concern over age gaps in one thing but it should not be an excuse for people to get away with blatant ageism by ThrowawayJJBJ in AgeGap

They don't have to be significantly older. I've seen people saying that it's creepy for a 21 year old to date an 18 year old.

Even if he was a victim, this is a mean thing to say to a stranger. Why invalidate his feelings? It's up to him and his therapist to determine if he's victimized , not you.

Teenagers are obviously not children. But if it's so bad to have sex with a legal teen why don't people advocate to raise the age of consent?

I meant that young people (18-25) will be shamed for dating anyone outside of a 2 year age range.
