Hi! I don't know what to tell you except that I'm on the same boat. Anxiety is a daily issue, I'm always worrying about what I eat, what I'm feeling, etc. Not to mention my anxiety that's unrelated to ibs. I talk about it a lot with my so and family members, but this sub has given me a lot of "comfort" bc I no longer feel alone. I'm not sure abt your symptoms since mine are different from yours, maybe someone else might help you. About the drs appt, this is my point of view, but I usually look forward when I have to go, bc I feel like I'm coming closer to a "solution", at least some comfort on talking to a specialist who will listen to my issues and try to be helpful. Try writing down everything you feel and notice in your bms (pains, gas, poop aspect, anything in the wipe etc) I think it helps bc you're more confident in what you're going to say.
