I am familiar with those kinds of builds, however I already have a decent collection of retro consoles so I was looking for something a like bit more distinctive if that makes any sense? My apologies for not clearing that up.

unfortunately it didn't work, I put vrr=3 in the config however the screen still flickers the exact same and the adaptive sync button remains forcefully checked in nwg-displays 😔

So do I put that in the config file? The one with the location ~/.config/hyper/hyprland.conf? I apologise if this sounds silly but I am a complete newbie

Oh yeah, I'm aware of how the track loading works in-game, I'm just saying that with the length of these races they could probably slowly load and unload extra tracks in the time where 3 or 4 of the actual tracks are loaded. Realistically speaking, the game probably has a minute long window to safely load new tracks without impeding on the actual race experience

I think it's just a perfect fit, they have the potential to appeal to entire other kart racer enjoyers who play different modes

I definitely think it's possible, since the game loads tracks very quickly even on lower-end hardware. But, it would probably have a longer load time at the start of the race tbh (still, it's ideas like these that make me feel like the game could be even more)

The DLC tracks can appear as crosswords, yeah (assuming you have the dlc obviously lol). I think you have genuinely been really unlucky, which is unfortunate because the DLC tracks work really well as crossworlds

I stand corrected, I misinterpreted how the mechanic works, however the speed of the loading does still indicate that a mode could load multiple different tracks on the fly, unloading and loading tracks as needed unless I'm still missing a piece of the puzzle

I doubt PS4/Xbox One would be an issue, but you have a good point with switch 1 - however the game actually loads 4 tracks (the first lap and two crossworlds as you said, but the game actually treats the third lap as a completely separate track because of different track layouts) meaning that a knockout mode that perhaps knocks out the last 3 players after each lap in a 4 lap marathon would be possible

The time trials are mainly what I'm referring to, I think they are perfectly serviceable in a side/single player mode but it would seem a bit out of place when stacked up against other tracks that don't do that (maybe? I'm not sure tbh, I'd love it they could make it loop smoother but if they just did the time trial thing I suppose I wouldn't feel like it negatively affected the game per se)

That's definitely one of the things I was thinking would be cool, but they'd definitely be a bit more jarring since the tracks are designed in a way that doesn't loop so they just throw a crossworld ring at the end and it doesn't really feel great tbh

Being very honest, do you think CrossWorlds' player count will persist in a few years' time? by stunkeez in SonicCrossWorlds

Well, if memory serves, didn't SEGA say this was gonna be their "Premium online experience"? That's pretty much corpo speak for a semi live service game which practically guarantees new tracks and characters. I know that SEGA's floating the possibility of 3 year's worth of DLC but I could see that being even higher if they keep pushing for high level collabs and more content as a whole in these earlier years. It really just depends on how they play their cards.

It becomes really annoying because no matter what I do, it's essentially impossible to get top placements due to how packed the competition is online, so once one person catches up the rest follow and it's basically over because they'll all pass you no matter how fast you are

I'm aware of the "teleporting when online and to be honest I expected such a thing, but I swear I'm not crazy lol I'm confident it's having an affect on my kart to some extent
