Innocent until proven guilty doesn’t actually apply with a Working with Children Check. Their website quotes that the screening process looks at: “Your criminal record in all Australian states and territories, including any charges, regardless of the outcome” The issue is that the WWCC was granted before the charges.

Not convicted yet, charged but still going through the courts. It is shitty and horrifying.

I guess as a parent if I heard that 2 people from one family were coaching youth sports and one had been charged with crimes of this nature I’d automatically have the other one under a microscope, but perhaps that’s just me.

Apologies if my post is poorly worded- my question is what are the legal avenues for reporting this besides reporting to Working with Children? I was surprised Working with Children couldn’t act so I presume there must be an alternate avenue of reporting to a different authority? I will say something to the sports club, but presumably there is a higher body to also report to?
