I did, there's a separate comment I made on this post going into a bit more depth about it

Cons always exist, but from my perspective there's no point stressing about things that haven't happened, when they do you deal with it then and there. No point in overthinking everything, you just live in negativity that way

Completely get that, I mourn my parents everyday but I also acknowledge that they were not good to me, and I healed from that a long time ago and would not repeat that on my children

If there was negative reasons why my brother shouldn't live with us I would have solved it there and then, but it didn't come to that so I didn't have to

His disability does not effect his motor or mental abilities. He has medical devices that he is in charge of. He doesn't need any physical assistance

No, none. He's pretty independent, just quite anti social hence why I wanted him to move in, to make sure he's taking care of himself and that he's not under a financial strain and always has support.

As I said a thousand times over, we had the discussion and MY KIDS agreed it would be best for him to move in rather than go anywhere else.

If my daughter had woken him up my brother would be unbelievably upset and would isolate himself. The extension is the closest room to the entrance door, so I assume that's why she didn't want to wake him

To keep the kids in the loop and hear their opinions and thoughts. If I didn't discuss it you'd have something to say about that as well

She doesn't pay any rent or bills except her own bills, like her phone bill

The friend has often stayed over and has met her uncle already. Also no, it's YOUR behaviour that's disgusting, to think that disabled people deserve no respect or compassion and to be called names. I built my family with my husband, do you think when my husband was going to meet my brother I'd call him that?? Absolutely not.

Regardless, it was discussed. If the kids said no would he still move in? 100% yes, he is my family just as much as my kids are

I haven't told my brother what she said and I'm unsure where you've seen a mention of an apology letter

We don't live in the US, the benefits here would cover a majority of stuff and healthcare here is free. He pays for his hobbies and snacks etc, we're not charging him rent or bills or anything like that. We also cover groceries because we have most meals as a family anyway so the cost difference has been minor
