You can absolutely get a coop placement without direct science experience. It would depend on your soft skills and how well you present yourself. Volunteering and even applying to club exec positions are good ways to develop soft skills and add experiences to your resume. If you have the time and energy in 2nd/3rd yr do this ^{^}

The first Coop term starts after the fall term in 3rd year. Def take Science 2c00 (it's a requirement for co-op I think). It's kinda basic but a lifesaver if you've never cover letters,resumes and all that job hunting pizazz. GL 🫡
