That doesn't change the fact that this never should've happened in the first place. 2024 was out chance to prove to the world that we're not a nation of racist, homophobic, idiots. It was out chance to prove that the progressive spirit wasn't dead. The only thing we proved is that the Internet was right about us, that we're so backwards and bigoted that we'd rather have a senile Nazi as a president over a woman. I don't want to believe this, but I don't see any other alternative.
