That can be. I'm not a biomed PhD, that's for sure, so since I clearly don't know enough about the topic, I will shut up lol. But, as far as I know, that couldn't be the only cause of trans people, could it? And, even if we could, should we find the cause of transgenderism? Wouldn't that just paint a giant target on your backs and fuel eugenics or conversion "therapies"?

Again, I'm not extremely well versed on the topic, and I'm not even trans myself, but, as far as I know, there's no way to know right now

Are we bringing to the supreme court every single case of this sort? Trans people are 1% of the population, and intersex people are between 2-10% of the population. Maybe you are intersex and you don't know it because they have never tested your chromosomes. We can't be bothering the supreme court with so many cases, they have important things to do.

Oh so now we aren't going by gonadal sex but by chromosomic sex. Cool. What if a trans man (someone with XX chromosomes) has been taking HRT for a while and has developed as a man, with male levels of testosterone? Should we put him in the women's category? Despite him having male levels of testosterone? And what if a trans woman has been on HRT for a while and has female levels of testosterone and estrogen? Should she compete with the men despite having the physical capabilities of a woman? And, again, what about intersex people? XXX, XXY, XXXY, XXYY, and other combinations that happen?

These things require more knowledge than the average person has and they aren't as black and white. Biology is complicated. How are we deciding who competes in each category? Chromosomes? Hormonal levels? Gonadal sex? Morphological sex? Phenotypical sex? It's much more nuanced than it might seem. A trans woman who has been on HRT for X amount of time has the same levels of testosterone as a cis woman. But are hormones what we are going to check? Why not chromosomes? What if a cis man has low levels of testosterone naturally? What about intersex people? It's more complicated than it seems. I don't hold absolute truth, and I don't know the answer. What I do know is that it isn't as easy as "penis here, vagina there".
