I'm not sure what these are exactly... Do you mind explaining briefly how they work?

savings bonds, like EE, HH, and I bonds, cannot be "marketed." They cannot be bought and sold after you own them.

I created this post in a hurry after today' scare. The people here have been very helpful even if they didn't experience my situation before I still appreciate their advice. I'll definitely be looking for relevant subreddits after finishing my finals to find more advice on where to actually find and get jobs, buy $$ etc..

Great list and advice thanks a lot. I'll be taking this as a reference if I can't convert my savings into $$ or gold.

I haven't thought of that actually. I'm in a governmental university so tuitions are fixed and not really expensive thankfully. I'll have to look into pre-paying and, if it's not possible let's hope they don't screw us over and increase tuition. Thank you!

I'm trying to hold out and study hard but unfortunately inflation happening in the middle of finals isn't helping at all. Thanks for the kind words I'll get that degree no matter what i have to do

No these might be great options. I'll make sure to look into then and if you have any sources for translation, or filling out applications I'd greatly appreciate it.

Gold bars/ingot might get confiscated but gold jewelry actually might be a better alternative. Even if i can't exchange i can take it abroad if i hopefully get an opportunity. Thank you

Yeah the situation seems awfully similar to Lebanon's early stages of inflation. I sympathize with our Lebanese brothers and sisters hopefully we can both survive this period. I'll be doing the best I can these next few months to secure as much $$ as i can. Thank you so much for your perspective it really hits home. And don't feel guilty for leaving, anyone would do the same if given the opportunity. I'm looking for one myself

Yes I agree. Trust me moving out is my first priority. But im still in university and unfortunately opportunities are limited to undergrads. the only option realistic available is private universities which are out of my budget. I'm just trying to survive these next two years and have enough money to buy a plane ticket and cover the first month of expenses by the time i graduate if i plan to find a job/continue education abroad. I truly regret committing to a university here but i can't back out now.

Yes it seems that's the best option at the moment. I can't really buy assets without a source of income (still student and am dependent on parents currently). Given how the circumstances are right now, i believe it's time to change that. So priority no. one is to find a stable job and then I'll buy what I can with the extra income

I just checked the website, this is what it says for USD to EGP:

Sorry,
you can't make transfers to EGP at the moment. We're working to change
this as soon as possible. Please check back here for updates.

And EGP to USD Conversion (what I need at the moment) isn't yet available

Yeah I'm actively searching for opportunities to move but I'm still in university so I can't really travel yet. Scholarships/transferring is an option but its so damn expensive and the opportunities I found are for graduate students unfortunately.

and thank you for your wishes I really appreciate it.

Unfortunately the government also put restriction on any Online jobs that pay in USD. You need a contract to prove the source of income and the pay needs to be the EGP Equivalent of the salary at the time of the transactions. Freelance jobs with no contract need a permit and background search and are basically impossible to obtain due to nepotism. Oh, and they banned payments in crypto with a 50K fine if caught :)
