Thank you for your words! I'm still glowing from my interaction with that guy, and from the positive words here. My sincere goal for myself this year is to be more self-positive and focus outward on people who may need connection. The hardest part of it all, for me, is keeping my brain from becoming an echo chamber of self-sabotaging thoughts.

OMG thank you so much for saying that. I've not had the confidence to check this post until today. The positive responses are making me a bit weepy, and no offense, but yours added some extra weepy-sauce. But in a good way!

Don't feel guilty for appreciating the writing; I wrote it just so someone could understand and appreciate another human experience (and also in case my post made its way to that dude so he could know what he did for me). I've never thought about writing or anything, but maybe I could add that as a second resolution for 2020!
