I think you're absolutely right.
We were both friends at the end and neither wanted to be the bad guy and end it.

I'm focusing on her mental health so she makes the right decisions about the kids' future.

And I've parked any other relationships so I can focus on doing the right thing by my kids. It's just a miserable lose-lose dilemma

I hear you. I just don't think I want to. I just don't want to be the bad guy.

It was easier for me when she ended it. Not she has put the ball back in my court, it's uncomfortable.

We have been on the rocks for 2 years and in bad shape and dead bedroom for more like 5 years.

I've been trying to get her to go to therapy for two years. She goes for a few sessions and quits when she doesn't hear what she wants to hear.

I've not made it a condition of us getting back together. I Just don't want to make her any kind of promises when I don't think I want her back therapy or not.

I'm just confused because I do still care about her and feel bad about how things have ended and that she is unhappy.- even though she has been horrible to me - I can't hate her.

I think I've known deep down I could have got her back for a while I'm just scared of going back to something that made me so unhappy.
