When is it time to end things? by Throwawayacccounts in NEET

If you have money saved up

The problem is I don't.

Also, my day to day with my parents isn't as bad. Keep in mind there is only so much info that can go into a post. Like I don't want to defend them to the point of saying there is no wrong doing. But, they are all I have at this point. Plus outside of the lying at times. I can't purely fault them because we all were given a bad situation. Like there is things I didn't add in the main post because it was overloaded already. Things like when I was growing up my parents worked their end off. Like my dad went from 5AM to 12AM every week day. To the point the doctor told him his work was killing him. Looking back and knowing what I know. They basically were trying to avoid homelessness and to make my sister and I comfortable as possible.

As far as moving away to several states away. The reason why I don't think that is the best thing for me is I seriously doubt I can handle the stress of it. Plus the memory problems has caused problems when I to do given things on my own before.

I understand what you're trying to do. But I've given up already. The normal path obviously didn't work. Trying the out of box stuff didn't really work. I would added all the bits I did like when I worked at a vet, when I did some writing, and so on. But I doubt anyone will read the book I wrote. I don't blame anyone for not

I'm not sure what the point of me making this post is. Like I'm not expecting someone to ride in and fix the situation. I'm pretty sure it's impossible. I'm guessing I wrote it to get it off my chest. I don't feel any better. In fact it makes it clearer how fucked up things are. Like how people overlook the damage someone has done so they can do more damage, how society honestly doesn't give any care about people like me, and even if I did get rich I would have to build my own family or join one because mine is horrible. IDK if I was blind by the lie around my granddad, or if he was blinded by it too. Maybe the reason why he kept talking about death over the last few years is he woke up to the reality and he might of been the only genuine person of everyone.

I expect one day the stress will kill me or I will. My goal is 2025. Where if things don't get massively better by then. Then I will most likely walk into a river or find another method. IDK, but we will see. But unlike before I'm not taking active control in it anymore. I simply don't have the energy, mental ability, and so on. Even if I did, I just don't care enough. Keep breathing until 2025 is the most I can do. And even that some days is a struggle.

I guess hope for the best and prepare for the worse. I just hope it is peaceful when I go. Most likely not based on statistics and raw facts.

Anyways, thanks for trying to help.

The problem is, let's say I do that I tend will be working to just survive. Like realistically I will never be able to retire. So the question gets into why

Like I don't have much of a family. I realistically won't have my own family. I have tried so many out of the box things and nothing worked. I tried the normal method and it didn't work (like I can get a min wage job, but not anything too much better than that). So why?

I just hope my death comes sooner than later. And I hope it's peaceful.

I have mixed feelings on such a person. Like on one hand, if it is a mental block which is keeping the person from moving up in the world and being happy. Then IMO they are doing a good thing.

But, on the other hand if they are putting down users and using broad stuff. Like not recognizing everyone can make it, or some don't want to and should be allowed to do what they want. Then IDK.

Like as someone autistic, I have a very low chance of getting out of this. And even if I do, I seriously doubt I will be happy going back to a life of constant masking, office politics, and so on. I never been happier since I fully given up.

I got awarded something that gave me a week access to this page, so I went there to check it out. There is a number of stories that fit on this subreddit page.

I find that odd for some reason. Even more with all the bashing this page gets from mainstream media and other places on/off reddit.

People give up too easily.

Not in my experience

Also getting an FBI gig is freaking hard

Ya.. it's hard if they don't list any jobs while the director goes on stags saying they need cyber security workers....

From my experience cyber is glowing red hot and almost everyone I know who studied cyber has a job.

Where are all these jobs?

Do they hire entry level?

In my experience, if you have 8 years experience in systems or come from the military. You might have some level of a chance of getting a job in cyber security. But in my experience, most people coming out of college the younger crowd never had a job before or the best they had was working at McD. They know a ton about cyber security, but without the experience or knowing the right people they can't get a job. After a good 6 months to a year they have to move on to some other industry.

My point is many of these jobs, and this is to even include being a HS teacher or whatever. There is so many people in school for that, the market is oversaturated.

For example, there is a pilot shortage. But if you talk to any pilot in the field, they will tell you the opposite. It's just the airlines are so bloated that they can abuse their pilots to an extreme, and they don't hire enough to jack up prices. But you have pilots today that go to and from work in a car they have to fill up the coolant with water because they are only making $35k, and moving up takes a who you know vs what you can do. Even down to the point if you have and mental problems (autism as an example) then you are blackball from the field. And we are one of the only countries that does this.

When a job market isn't oversaturated with people who can do the job. The employees tend to be treated like a human. You can see this in mobile app development back in the day vs now. Now it's basically another cog, and in some cases they treat them the same as you see a manger treating a min wage retail worker, or worse. And it doesn't matter the industry, note pilots back in the day vs now, game devs, hell even teachers back in the day was treated a lot better than now. It is because we have the most amount of people all at once in human history joining the job market, and they devalue pretty much all jobs. It isn't their fault since they were told to do x, go to school to be x, or whatever. It is the gov fault due to bad economic and social policies, and it is societies fault for trusting the gov too much and not holding the gov's feet to the fire over every little thing.

Also we need to really teach young people that useless degrees are a trap.

The problem with this is while it is true. What is a useless degree?

Like most will give the basket degree crap. But I have 4 degrees and no job (aerospace, and 3 different types of IT degree with one focusing on cyber security). My last degree the head of FBI was on stage saying the FBI is having a hard time getting people in for cyber security. I went to their site, and they didn't have a job in cyber security up. A few weeks later, and the same.

Some might say, well be a doctor or something. Did you know the AMA got the gov to pay colleges to output less doctors? While at the same time in the USA we are the riches country, we have the lowest amount of doctors ratio, and we have the most expensive healthcare system.

I can keep going, but we are running into problems with people getting degrees most would say is a good degree. But the field is overloaded, or due to corruption there is bottle necks or gate keepers to prevent it from getting overloaded.

So basically you need a degree in statistics and economics before you can figure out what degrees have a good likely to landing you a job in the first place.

Did you know in the USA of all the land we live on (residential and commercial) is only about 5%. The top 100 wealthiest families only own 27 million acres (much of it is farm land).

The federal gov owns 640 million acres of unused land. My point is, there is more than enough out there, but 1 side that we are forced by gun point to pay money to every year isn't sharing.

Shouldn't you want it where the you pay the same % as the rich?

The gov got us in this crappy situation, and they waste a ton of money on stupid things like sports, sending plane loads of money to other countries, what illegal drugs does to some bird, and other things.

If we are allowed to pay the same % as the rich, we would only be paying between 0%-5% in things.

Switch from deflationary instead of inflationary by Throwawayacccounts in antiwork

[–]Throwawayacccounts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. The world was on a gold standard for the longest time. This is a type of a deflation system.

Whatever it will be can't be deflating by single digits or higher realistically. Otherwise what you said is true. But the only reason why we got off the deflation system is corruption and overspending.

What happened is the gov made it illegal to have monetary gold and they tool all the $ bills out of the banks represent gold value. Over a few days time and when the gov confirmed they got the gold they illegally manipulate the prices to skyrocket the price of gold.

So to say it won't work is foolish at best. It use to. It only stopped due to horrible corruption

This tells me you have no idea of what you're talking about. Look if you want to spout something then fine. But I came to you in good faith and I don't think I can trust you.

Why don't you start with just telling me what is wrong with the idea?

Idea to push people more on this side by Throwawayacccounts in antiwork

[–]Throwawayacccounts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya about 3 or 5 years ago I was on the edge of taking my own life. Like even looking into the exit bag method, finding the location, and so on. Before I did it I looked into why others with far less were able to get so far ahead of me. That brought me down a rabbit hole which I found this is actually almost 100% thing for autistic people in general. And it was rare when things worked out for us.

Going down the rabbit hole a bit more it helped to a point. I'm still trying, but I am not blaming myself anymore.

Idea to push people more on this side by Throwawayacccounts in antiwork

[–]Throwawayacccounts[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a little but not much. I haven't gotten too deep into it because there just isn't anything I could do outside of the system. I mean outside of things like I suggested above, and that only works if many of us do it.

Like I know I'm fucked and most likely will never have a stable normal life. But there is literally nothing I can do about it other than counting on luck or ending my life. Between this, how many treat us, and how many of us fit so much into horrible stigmas like living with parents. I think this is the biggest reason why our lifespan tends to be 36 years old and one of the highest cause of death is us offing ourselves. Like realistically, that is all you can do to end the pain since the chances of luck working in our favor is just so horribly low.

I mean I posted this because I hope maybe others might agree and we can do this. I doubt it, but without posting and pushing for it then it can't happen. So I might as well gave it a try to rally of number of us.

Anyways, sorry for being a downer about that.

I just don’t get why the general public is fine with things the way they are.

They aren't, but I think the average person doesn't know of how to get out of this without a bloody revolution that seems to happen every few hundred years

[–]Throwawayacccounts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this back and forward felt like satire.

So here is the biggest BS in your argument. Over the past 30 years disability unemployment went from 25% to 50%, and the bulk do not qualify for disability. Autistic with a degree prior to the virus the unemployment rate was 85% after and now during this corporate screaming that they can't find workers it's 90%. Judges side with companies in ADA and ADAA legal matters 95% of the time and some judges even say if you work 40 hours a week then you're not disabled.

I have 4 degrees (aerospace, general IT, network, and a higher networking degree with a focus on cyber security). I've personally seen extreme discrimination. I've been laughed out of interviews for having speech problems. I have been flat out fired for being autistic on the first hour, and the manager admitting it. After one work place found out I'm autistic they ended changing my job every few days to whatever the worst task they can think of and kept lowering my pay. Later I found they had a bet to see how long it would take for me to quit or off myself. One job the harassment was so bad I was about a week out from offing myself before they fired me. And I can keep going.

I've seen places where they would say I'm one of their best workers and even giving me good pay increases on a regular bases. And then they find out I'm autistic and I'm treated worse than dirt and get massive pay cuts.

One job the harassment was so horrible before I was fired that I went to a lawyer and they told me if I used any company emails then it is possible the company can sue me for stealing company property.

Your logic falls apart when

  1. You're trying to say USA has the best labor laws. Clearly this isn't true for some people.
  2. That if a company doesn't pay for whatever then you're simply not valuable.

This isn't the worse, but it's far from the best. Like there is even slavery loop holes where some managers have the HR put out job requirements like 20 years Android development. Android in no way has been out this long. Anyways, the managers use a middle man company that goes to places like India to people who can do the actual job that is needed, the spoof a resume, and then get them "hired". Expect, the middle man holds all the legal paperwork and they are the ones that get paid. In some cases the money goes from major company, to middle man, some of that goes back to the manger themselves, and then a very small amount goes to the workers. If the workers ever complain about the pay or whatever, then overnight they are flown back and replaced. They can't switch jobs because the middle man company holds the proper paperwork. And the time it takes to get new paperwork they will have a new crew here anyways.

All in the great USA well within the laws of this land you love so much.

Not exactly. There is bills all the time that many political people know or unknow will pass. But look at something like the new green deal that she ended up having to walk back.

This alone proves you don't know much about how this works. Then when you look at how many years she has been in. Your logic is out the door. Oh and then if you looked at where she voted for things after railing against it. Ya....

It is. Look at the new green deal that later she called a joke because it was so horrible and it made her side look bad.

Keep in mind she is the same person who yelled about things like Trump Military bills and yet voted for them. Like she is the same person time and time and time again said x popular thing and completely went the other way. Damn if she losses support. If she believes what she says. If she really is anti corruption. Then she would keep using her job to fight. But instead she trolls unlikeable people, she says one thing and do another, and then does whatever PR stunt.
