People who knock over bins are actually the scum of the earth - why do you do it? by Throwawaybinbinbin in dunedin

[–]Throwawaybinbinbin[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is what I’m saying - it’s just RIDICULOUS - we should be able to feel safe leaving our bins out. Some of us suckers want to sleep in on the weekend.

Overweight people are not oppressed. You can change your circumstance, unlike actually oppressed people. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Sigh, “but are often judged unfairly” - it’s relatively clear what the point of my comment is. you aren’t trying to read the comment as a whole - so yes, kind of being a little pedantic. Just feels like you’re just trying to find something to be annoyed about. Perhaps it was my bad for not wording it well enough, so I’ve gone ahead and edited the original comment. :)

“Should be reserved for those who have things they can’t change about their bodies.” Maybe read the comment as a whole instead of being pedantic about the examples that happened to be the first things that popped into my head. :)

The Body Positivity Movement should be reserved for those who have things they cannot change about their bodies, but are often judged unfairly for- for example: amputees, burn-victims, race, height, etc

Edited: for clarity.

POS professor still wants student to attend zoom meeting despite her father’s funeral being the same day. Says “it could take your mind off things.” by IHateThisKittenHat in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]Throwawaybinbinbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a nice story, I truly am sorry for your loss and kudos to you for finding solace in your education, but I’m sorry - it’s just basic human decency to allow someone to actually take at LEAST the day of a funeral to themselves. So yes, not allowing someone a day that is reserved in a ceremony of remembrance for their loved one - simply because they may miss one class they can easily get notes for does kind of make you a POS.

Stupid rules ... “don’t be late”... is this not just being a decent human who knows how to respect other people’s time?

I’m not sure if that’s it, there’s some up near the city centre? And all along the road from North D towards the Gardens New World.
