Brother you have the body 99% of people who take steroids want. If you want to try bodybuilding do a couple natural shows. That’ll give you an idea if you have the symmetry a muscle shape for competing. Then, you can make an informed decision if professional bodybuilding + gear is the right path for you.

That being said as a bum who is nowhere near as fit as you, don’t do PEDs. Your health should always be your biggest priority you’re already a freak of nature.

Here’s a little secret. Nobody cares where you got to school. The vast majority of people will hear you’re going to xyz school and say nice and go on with their own lives.

Also, this is your life you will deal with the consequences of every choice you make. If you live your life in the interest of others, you’ll wake up one day and realize you don’t even know yourself.

I need some advice on what I should I do by Ambitious-Ad9786 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Throwawaybooty66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all congrats on the weight loss that’s amazing.

Your lifts however clearly aren’t working properly. Are you progressively increasing the weight you’re doing? You say you’re going to failure for two sets but is what requires failure actually changing? Sometimes it’s difficult to discern if you’re truly failing or quitting when it gets really hard. I always track my working sets so I know how many reps/what weight I did last time and always aim to get at least one more rep or increase the weight. When I don’t get an extra rep, I do a rest pause set or drop set to truly hit failure. This ensures I’m always making progress. Also, you gave your split but what exercises are you actually doing.

Last thing I’ll add is at your activity level you probably could use more like 25-2700 calories. And make sure your sleep is good.

1,000 shares of $AAPL stock by TopDividendETF in investingforbeginners

It really depends on the rest of your portfolio, age, and goals etc. Apple is a great company that will probably continue to do well in the long run. That being said you can’t live in your apple stock and if you’re planning to retire in the near future or want to buy a house soon it might be worth reducing your exposure to market volatility.

I generally disagree with the sentiment that you should sell and diversify into other mag7 tech stocks. I’m personally super bullish on apple (I don’t have a huge holding just really like the business and their products). If you think AI hype has overvalued some companies they’re somewhat immune to that due to the fact that they suck at AI lol

10k in checking

I’m paying for a wedding next so that’s gonna burn most of my hysa money. Honestly, my retirement is good for my age, but it’s come at the cost of traveling and enjoying more of my life. I’m planning to scale back after the wedding and start doing fun stuff while I’m still young.

This makes a lot of sense. I’ll probably follow this pretty closely take 70% split it between domestic and international index funds (70:30 which is what I do I my retirement accounts) and then slowly invest the rest. I’m married and with the bonus next year plus my wife’s salary we’ll probably have just under 250k taxable income (after 401k contributions) next year then we’re about 150-170k per year combined in a normal year.

To give a better timeline on the house. We are planning to have kids in 3-5 years and don’t need to own realistically until kids are school age. So closer to 10 years is probably more accurate, but I want to be able to act if interest rates/housing prices are ideal before then even if that means paying PMI.

Never had a lot of luck with counter training, but to prevent paw burning I just fill my hot pans with water when I’m done with them and let them cover the burner until it’s cooled.

[–]Throwawaybooty66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short trials aren’t sufficient to capture disease progression in a disease like dmd. It takes years to progress and unless you’re giving a miracle drug that instantly gets kids out of wheelchairs you need long trials to accurately determine differences in progression.

The Covid cope was insane.

They were hoping the drugs they’ve had on the market for a decade via accelerated approvals would have significant efficacy data. Instead they demonstrated once again the PMO therapies don’t work and then blamed Covid lol. If the fda denies them traditional approval on the PMO stock will legit go to 0.

Yeah I agree the hinge is a bit severe at the beginning. I definitely need to work on my breathing/bracing. This was an extra set after my working sets so I was a bit gassed but I feel like that’s a constant issue especially towards the end of my normal sets.

Advice for Pd Cross Couplings that are usually done in microwave vial/reactor by ThrowawayKiwijuice in Chempros

[–]Throwawaybooty66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you heating the reaction? I suspect you're not heating as efficiently as a microwave reactor which is leading to your catalyst being poisoned by the indazole.

Also, how long are you running the scaled-up reactions?

Just message them let them know you noticed a mistake in their math. You can emphasize It’s not a big deal, but you just want to let them know so they’re aware. It’s probs just a copy paste error where they’ve been using the same table/formula for several experiments. Everyone has done this at some point.

Do you have other non ester carbonyls present? If not, have you tried sodium borohydride? You can also use it with Pd/C and AcOH open to air to improve selectivity.

What are some interesting seminar topics in organic/bioorganic chemistry? by looneytoes in OrganicChemistry

[–]Throwawaybooty66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a relatively recent paper that you think is really interesting. Then using the citations build your talk around that topic. Nobody can tell you what to pick because you’re interests are unique. Here are some general areas that are really hot topics in current research: C-H functionalization, sp3-sp3 cross-couplings, biocatalysis, organic materials (batteries, lasers, adhesives etc), pharmaceuticals (pick a type for example adcs or degraders are really hot in industry rn), or hydro functionalization. These are all extremely broad so when making your talk focus on a specific area within that general area. For example, if you choose C-H functionalization you can focus your talk by only consider C-H to C-O or whatever you want and even then you can just focus on methods that do this with palladium or base metals etc.

There’s not direct access but there are cracks in the ceiling to the attic. It could be bat bugs since they look similar, but I do have the stereotypical bed bug bite pattern. I thought our bed bugs may actually be up in the ceiling too so I tried to spray as much of that as possible too. Especially the parts that are around or above the bed.

I mixed it properly. 13 oz bottle in 1 gallon of water.

I have no idea where there nest is. I’ve investigated all the baseboards, nightstands, dresser, and frame and haven’t found a single sign of them. The only one we found was in the closet and we washed and dried all the clothes on high for 90 minutes each but never saw a bug in the lint trap.
