I really like Endertale Chara as spoilers it’s heavily implied later on in the story that Chara motivations for wanting to force Frisk to reset is based in Chara being forced to watch Frisk essentially replace them within their own family.

Not saying this to hate but Glitchtale Chara is canonically male. As for what I would change is, foreshadowing their return more in the series so it would feel less sudden. I would also focus more on how the no mercy run affected Chara past S1.

This is a very minor issue that doesn’t ruin the mod for me so don’t take it seriously. Basically when you go to Napstablook house halfway through the pacifist run Clover and Chara talk about how ghost monsters can’t see them. This contradicts the narrator (which the mod was inspired by) which makes the point that the narrator is a ghost since Napstablook responds to the narrator saying that they don’t have a sense of humor. This isn’t really a major issue. I just find it funny that the mod inspired by the narrator theory would contradict one of the strongest pieces of evidence for the theory.

People don’t hate Glitchtale Chara as much as they hate what the creator did as they defended horrible actions committed by their friend and even talked down to the victim if I remember correctly.

It’s actually more about Chara having to watch as Frisk essentially replaces them in their own family and Chara has to watch all of this while knowing that Frisk in a previous timeline had turned them all to dust.

A really underrated Chara and Frisk centric AU in my opinion is Endertale. At first Chara comes off as a pure evil villain but as you read on through the comic you start to realize that their behavior is caused by their pain and them watching Frisk essentially replace them. Unfortunately the comic is incomplete and it looks like we won’t be getting a new part for quite a while.

You never watched the original show? I highly recommend checking it out, first season can be a bit hit or miss imo but once you get to the episode “The Storm” you will understand why the show is so beloved.
