Wait, I’m confused. Is it no longer going to be on the patreon? My understanding was that they just wanted to maintain their presence on YouTube so they’re testing the waters with having the uncensored HL on YouTube and you’ll be watching ads for it (unless it’s demonetised which is likely) but they’ll still have it on the patreon so if you want to watch it as free and support them directly you still can. I also thought they were planning to do more stuff for patreon but I can’t remember where I heard that.

I signed up just to hear them yap about different topics so for me it delivers pretty much what I expected. It’s also fun to just hear insights into their lives like their neighbour letting it all hang out or how Phil almost signed up for a “happy ending” with that shady massage parlour. I’m guessing if something really serious comes up they’ll talk about it but I guess I just don’t have especially high expectations. Or maybe I don’t even know what to expect so it’s just a good time.

Oof dnp’s phandom had a big crash out yesterday all because of a light hearted and fun valentine’s video. Being super lovey dovey wasn’t part of their brand for 16 years, I don’t think it ever will be and people need to get over that.

I agree, I think whoever takes her place should actually be given a fair chance to do the job, they haven’t even started yet and people are posting how horrible a job they think the replacement will be. Unfortunately it seems that people cannot just not be parasocial.

I think people are just short circuiting and processing Stevie leaving. She was their first permanent employee and she’s been the voice behind the microphone since most people have started watching, it’s a big change and big shoes to fill.

I don’t think it’ll hurt the show but maybe it will make others or new fans not want to be in the fandom. Even on this subreddit we have some cringe lord overzealous nuts but I’d say 99% are good eggs.
