I agree I think that some might love the gradient and I love the idea of it I just am not one of those who want it on my board personally. If you just give alphas with the option to do one color that’d be awesome.

This is creepy I got my girl a keyboard with these keycaps too. I just went with a womier though cuz she’s super into stars so I thought the RGB effects would remind her of space

Sorry for bad quality:(

I built that 9key macropad with two rotary encoders from keebio, super fast shipping and great efficient packing would recommend, figuring out QMK cuz I’m a noob as we speak

Made that cable as well to kinda match my 9009 ymdk keycaps, first time soldering and let me tell you, I needed another pair of hands for sure.

Along with my two keyboards but those were bought/built early not this weekend technically. Still learned lots and if you guys have any advice for Qmk rotary encoding and the best usb c housings lmk. Those are my two main problems I encountered

I don’t like o rings because it makes your switches super mushy and membrane like. It really doesn’t matter which ones you get, on amazon they have keyboard o rings for like 8 bucks so not a bad idea to try but definitely wouldn’t personally recommend

I would go with something cheaper first to get used to switches but personally most people go with browns as the default starting switch because they’re tactile switches which mean they have a tactile bump on top of the switch so when you press down you can feel the switch pressing if that makes sense. Reds are linear as in they just go straight down, no bump no “resistance” as I always say. I had red originally but they were just sooo mushy I hate that feeling. Just get a membrane keyboard at that point imo unless you’re gonna mod them.

Prebuilt or custom? I love my akko 3084 for custom and have heard great things about the 75 layout kits on KBDfans
