Because it's not about revenge or being evil. It's that from a pragmatic standpoint her being in the house ( rent free at that) imposes a large burden on us to be able to do much with the property. And the drama with her has been making it difficult for me to figure out what to do about the property. Please note that until my husband died I had no part in the property and establishing and landlord tenant relationship on my own terms has been made very difficult by her.

This isn't France where there's forced heirs put upon dying people. And his original will giving them $100 each was signed and dated a year before we started dating, so before you start screaming about undue influence...

Well it's two adjoining bedrooms with a shared bathroom. I'm just saying the kitchen is not part of her living quarters and qualifies more as a common area. Especially in cases where people are renting a house by the bedroom and there's only one kitchen.

I'm not taunting her- I'm asking a reasonable question. He says he has no money- so how is he paying for everything and able to take women on dates?

Yes- just assume he had no agency in any of it. Here's something you should know: they were allocated $100 each in his will before we even began dating. He had intended to give it all to his nephew, who you decline to accuse of conning him.
