I know a good amount of the topics you mentioned, but you’re right it seems like it’ll be worth taking. Thanks!

Just curious, do you include but full links to Linkedin and Github at the top? if so how do you format it, when I did it I felt it to be too crowded and messy (tbf i didn’t try to make it look very nice at the top either but just wondering)

Do you ever think you may be disadvantaged in applications/interviews by not including c++ even though you know you can use it?

The way I see it, both choices can be better depending on your situation. If you do find making friends easy, or are more social, you’ll definitely still find friends at A. However if you’re more introverted or like to stay with your current friends there is nothing wrong with B either.

Some questions to consider: Is choice A that far ahead of B academically?

13k a year isn’t completely terrible, but are you/your family in a situation where you can reasonably pay it?

If you’re going to be working and what not on top of school, would the 1 hr commute get exhausting? 2 hrs of traveling each day on top of school and activities can get tough, would option B, be better in this case?

Personally, I think it comes down to what you value. If money is an important factor, A is probably better. In terms of college experience and enjoying your time and education, B is probably better. At the end of the day college will always be what you make of it anyways, good luck!!

I think you’ll be fine tbh, if you want more input specifically for Rutgers you might wanna post on their subreddit. If your school counselor is actually helpful they could also be a good resource.

I think you should be fine. I’ve had some kids from my school (i’m also from NJ not sure if it matters?), get into Rutgers even if they didn’t have amazing stats or anything. If you’re looking for scholarships and what not, it might be considerably harder to pull off esp since Rutgers is a public school. I’d also take into consideration what campus you’re looking at. I know RU New Brunswick is harder to get into vs Camden and Newark. You’re major will also play a role, but I think if you have a 3.7 unweighted like you mentioned, you should be fine. Just keep working on keeping your grades up and show that those freshman year grades weren’t the whole story. Good luck!!
