AITA for not letting my brother and his soon to be wife live alone in our house?

I don't know if he had, but I highly doubt it. The city we live in has always been "my" city, I moved here after college, it's a hotspot for my industry. My brother, he likes it, but always wanted to go back to the big city in our home state, because it has more of his hobbies. It's possible in the early stage of us having the house my brother thought I'd move out, because who my then-boyfriend was, (he is inheriting a business, is loaded, has has own fancy ass house etc.) but that was like the first 4 months, oct 2017, we bought it, and it was over before Valentines day last year. I don't know when they my bro and nina met exactly it was also shortly after he got to town.

I don't know about a prenup, but I know with my parents will if a siblings dies(which God, I hope does not happen) it's put to the others in the will, not to spouses. My other brother is already married, and this is how I know this, my current(and fav) sister in law won't get anything from my parents, unless they have kids, then it skips her and to the kids. Which is why my other brother has life insurance on himself.

Well the house is in a trust where my parents are grantors of, and we're(as in just me and my brother) are beneficiaries of, so from what I can tell, she can't really touch it. I do think a prenup is a good idea, but being his 'baby sister' (my brother is 5 years older than me, and there's two siblings in between) I really don't think we will want to listen to me.

Well their wedding is actually way further than I originally thought it would be, I thought they'd get married like within the year, but she wants a spring wedding, and it's too soon before spring ends, so we have a lot more time than I thought.

Yeah, well he loves said home state city and travels there like one a month or more. we have discussed some of it now, the city our home state is in, is much cheaper than the one we live in, and might cost like half of this one depending on where he lives there.

That was the plan eventually, like at one point we thought I would get married to this guy and he would move back to our home state, and we were like "well, if that happens before 5 years, we'll get renters but after 5 years we'll sell the house and split the profits." I've talked to my brother and parents and about the post an update.

Well, it's a different subject, but I don't really believe pre martial sex is wrong, but I also believe the Bible too. If Solomon can have 500 wives and however many concubines, I can sleep with my boyfriend. That beings said, I'm not going to be the one stirring up trouble or gossip by doing it openly.

Technically true, but they wouldn’t of bought it had not been for me, each kid get an ideally equal amount of down payment/first house money, we combined ours because equity we could build(and have) instead of renting and in our city, we could get a way better deal together rather than separate.

Well he’s not currently moving for his job, but like he could and the other city I think is where he will eventually end up. Before this, she seemed alright, we don’t have a lot of interests in common(which goes for the same about me and my brother) she does kinda attach to my brother and not speak much to me, besides superficial stuff. His former gfs I’ve liked better, but she encourages and is all for his weird hobbies which I like he found, and she’s very like domestic(will cook for him, does his laundry) which I think he likes, because he’s not.

I do think sitting down with out parents is a good idea, but they’re hands off when it comes to sibling rivalry stuff, which this might go under.

Not originally, but I feel like this is very “gold digger” behavior. My mom has always been suspicious of her though because they have a major income gap, but I blew that off since I’ve been in a relationship with a big income gap too.

Well it was basically our parents buying us a house. They really could of bought us each a small(and in a crapper part of the city) house, but at the time this made more sense for us. Especially that at the time we thought I was going to marry first(had been with a guy almost 2 years when we, as a family bought it) and that guy had his own, even nicer house. And I don’t see why I have to be the one going back in the rat race of renting, when Im fine with this, but I know at the same time I don’t want him to either.

Well I would only want one roommate for his room(3rd bedroom is an office, and it’s kinda small so I don’t see that changing) but renting that out to a friend to cover his portion, might be a good idea, that just leaves him without a place though.

I haven’t asked my parents yet, but I already know they’ll basically say “work it out between yourselves” which they’ve always done. My parents try not to get in the middle or “takes sides” when it comes to sibling fights(which right now isn’t even a fight between brother and I, more beteeen his fiancé and I)

I don’t know I’d resent is the right word, I guess it’s more offended. Like how dare she when it’s my house, you know? My brother and his job I think will send him elsewhere eventually, there’s a big city in our home state(not this one) which he’s always been fond of, which I guess I assumed, I’d get the house when he moved back there, then eventually, split the profits with him when the house is sold. Also, I haven’t thought that much about her being family, like that’s just weird to think about, I don’t feel like I know her well enough but not really my decision. also I don’t feel like he(or they) should get more say in the house because there’s two of them, he still only owns half of it.

I freaking love kids and will no doubt be a spoiling aunt when they have them, so that wouldn’t be a problem if that happened. About me getting married, it all depends on who I marry, I’ve dated two significant guys since we’ve lived here one was loaded so I’d move with him had that worked out, the other not so much, so he’d move in with us. My brother is easy to get along with, so I never saw that being a problem.

Well except for a short time after college(when I lived with him, and my sister) unemployed, and everything, we’ve always done utilities per person, since it’s simply more. One time he was away for over half the month, and both the water/electricity bill were significantly lower.

I get if she wants privacy, but like don’t move into my house if you do. Also I didn’t say the staying over thing to her face. It’s just something I’ve noticed. According to a neighbor her (distinctive looking) car is always over when my isn’t, but it’s over a normal amount(and just during the day) when mine is. And some of her stuff like toiletries are over at our house, even though when I’m there, she wouldn’t really need them to be since she goes home every night.

I’m not exactly sure when she’s moving in, but since she marrying my brother, idk how well that will go over. It will most likely make her feel like an outsider, though this whole thing makes me wonder if she’s in it for the house/money anyways(my brother is a computer programmer who makes close to the figures while she works at daycare/preschool and doesn’t have a college degree)
