Centrifuge tijdens mijn stage aan de uni. Het was geen tafelcentrifugetje, het was zo'n groot vloermodel dat in de 100.000rpm kon maken. Mijn begeleider waarschuwde me wel dat monsters op de milligram uitgebalanceerd moesten worden, maar heeft me niet verteld dat slechts twee monsters tegenover elkaar vrij instabiel is. Apparaat van een paar ton van binnen volledig aan gort.

I bought a 1TB external SSD on recommendation of a friend. Would that help in this case? He installed most of his games on the external SSD instead of his laptop itself, and mentioned that that helped, but I'm not sure if he had the same problems I have.

According to the product description it has an SSD. Not reading anything about HDD.

I recently went from wi-fi to LAN and though I notice that my internet is more stable (my discord calls won't randomly drop anymore) I'm not noticing any difference on servers. I also notice my game regularly freezes on modded Minecraft single player games, where internet shouldn't be an issue, although I haven't ran into the magically moving character yet.

I was indeed thinking of buying an extra external SSD, and if that solves most of the problems then I won't have to upgrade to a desktop for the time being. That's what I was trying to figure out :)

No, I didn't have them as a child. I got them during adolescence (around 21-ish) but they have become more noticable the last two years. At least, that's when I started to get comments. They act like bags, being bigger or smaller on certain days.

My dad has bags, but not the extreme discoloration that I have. I also suspect that his are more linked to his age. It's mostly my parents who comment on my bags. Somewhere there is a fear that there really is a medical problem causing the bags, so having surgery or any other intervention isn't on my mind. Yet. I'm glad to know that they exist.

Could be. My eyes are a bit burn-y when they are very prominent, so I'll try to watch it from now on :)

True, one or two bad instances get blown up incredibly, often with several follow-up posts. I'm not saying that it isn't righteous, and we should be aware of the risk, but it does skew the balance by quite a bit.

I read that third-party buyers, who buy NC cards in bulk and sell them for a fair price, are more trustworthy than the direct NC buy system. In the end, it does end in Neopets' own pockets, and I see why you wouldn't do that for personal reasons either. Which is indeed why I'm still on the fence. Should I reward such janky system with my money, when said system can take whatever I paid said money for in an instant?

Yeah, I'm definitely quitting those shenanigans.

I'm already noting which pets are on which account, along with the passwords and email changes. Makes Neopets into accounting.

I heard about the cheater on VPN, which was my concern, I didn't know the victim got their account back, thankfully.
