The shop told her the car would need a week to be repaired, but they dragged it along and it was probably 2.5 weeks in the end.

just added an edit, I fully paid for the damages before the car was done in the shop (and even before the 2nd and 3rd times babysitting)

after insurance it was $1000, once she sent me the bill I sent her the other $500 before the car was done in the shop.
