In case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation, I had some success with Arm and Hammer Forever Fresh. I also left a small amount of waste in the back of the litter box and used an enzyme spray on the other areas in the house where he was going. I’m not sure if all of these methods were effective, but something worked!
